Most of game both put a lot of pressure on themselves and Reed has to live in GYM whole summer

Ok I am surprised Ime actually used tactics on this game for once. Saved Eason and JG's legs for Indiana.

Reed and Cam having good games was great to see. Holiday has been garbage since Jan so having Reed able to shoot is a good sign. Hopefully he keeps it up cuz among the guards only Jalen can shoot well consistently.

For OKC Cason Wallace is crazy good, they definitely have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to good young studs. If I were Stone I'd use some of our picks and assets to get Wallace from OKC, he is the exact type of heady pg we need.

 

Jack can shoot (maybe the only thing he does), need shooting … nope.
Reed can play … nope
Cam can play (ain’t always the prettiest) … nope
Hell N’Faly Dante wasn’t half bad

Black Van Gundy defense defense more defense plays his faves 40 minutes, play the vets … gotta win now!

 

Yep, dude gets blown past a lot.

Now, that's not condemnation, its rare guys his size play even average defense. The type of player he is, a small 3 point shooting guard, well most of these guys are not great defenders...but they do make up for it with offense.

If Reed shoots how he does tonight and creates offense how he did tonight I think he sees a lot more time.

 

Nate may have not played well tonight, but I think he needs more of a chance, dude has talent in getting to the rim of the dribble, unlike Jalen.

Reed with starters probably was in deferral mode, and also, I don't feel our resident ball-hogs passed him the ball much. He looked like the guy I saw in college tonight, I think his confidence is increasing. Reed's shot is money, a little Curry-like, I think he just needs to play with more confidence.

Also, Cam is still a major ball-hog. I wonder who would be our all-team ball-hog line-up? Jalen, Holiday, Jabari, Cam, who's the 5th player?

 

when Reed gets PT when everyone is healthy, they don't treat him like a PG. it's very annoying.

Cannot let Holiday be a ball handler, his turnovers were brutal tonight - give Reed Holiday minutes , McVayge Tate minutes and Dante Jock minutes and slowly transition Cam over Brooks… Reed over FVV …

 

I was just thinking that lol, he’s just like van gundy. A defensive minded coach that plays his trusted veterans over young and talented players.

 

Udoka is stubborn.

 

Both Tate + Holiday are specialists and need to be used surgically + sparingly.

We had an outside chance to POSSIBLY win this game. Reed and Cam looked great. Dante also.
But, Ime....

 

Probably would've flourished more under coaches with more polished offensive schemes like the teams mentioned.
