Odd that a young player looks better in a situation where he doesn't have to check over his shoulder constantly to see if he's getting yanked for every mistake he makes. You know, the way that most top 3 picks get to play every night.
This is why you don't give up on rookie 20-year-old players, he'll have more good and likely many more bad games as a first-year player. We have to see what he becomes by the end of his rookie contract, sometimes, it takes longer. This was the Reed I signed up for this game, good job.
Maybe, but he mismanaged himself also. In the NBA you have to be aggressive. He has played timidly all season with the Rockets. I’ve said all year that Reed needs to be the primary ball handler. He needs to be the eye of the hurricane with everyone playing around him. Tonight was encouraging, he needs to keep this mindset and not defer to others.
