Democrats weren't gutting the NLRB which helps protect tens of millions of workers from labor abuses. Trump isn't a dictator, he's running the country like a business. There's going to be pain because the govt has been badly mismanaged for 30-40 years. In the long run the country will be better off for using fiscal principles. Basically it comes down to foreign countries are going to have to carry some of their own weight. 30% of ALL Federal Workers are Veterans. I think we can ALL say we want corruption and waste ended, but the way elmo goes about is not the way to do it. It`s already bit him in the butt on several fronts from the FAA to Nuclear Energy and stop with the lies about what your saving, this could have been a huge win, but the optics matter and calling ALL FEDERAL workers lazy, bloated and stupid is not the way to do it. One of my jobs is going into companies that we just bought and go over SOP`s, operating systems, personnel, HR and Sales. I normally show up the day that the staff is informed, and I am probably the most hated person in the building............... we use empathy and then we put our heads down, work with the current management and find the GOOD and the BAD and we are 100% transparent. Do we have to lay folks off, yes but we have an exit plan already drawn up and we don't delay. There is a way to do this while showing dignity and empathy.....and for those who say it must be done like this, no it is not, you can do this at X but if you're going to run the Government like a business, then you need to follow basic business practices, IMO you CANNOT run the government like a business, we are the stakeholders, we are not a "bottom line", we are all humans and even if the outcome is you are being let go, we can be HUMAN about it.
They are being given better than the norm severance packages .. they are being sent emails asking what they did last week ... what is the big deal you have the time to feign empathy because these organizations have 10-50k people, not 3 million scattered all over It can only be ugly with decades of inaction
