As someone who lives in Europe it's just crazy how devoted these people are to a billionaire con man. They worship him more than they worship God. Its insane
I'm fortunate to live less than 2 hours from Cooperstown. I love the town and the Omegang Brewery. I was fortunate enough to play a couple of games at Doubleday Field with my over 50 men's baseball league. Now as far as wanting to live here, the area is gorgeous, but the winters are brutal, and the state has their hand in your pocket every time you make a purchase and every paycheck. We do save a ton on electricity in the warm months not having to run central AC 24/7.

The whole thread needs shutting down. The politics has zero to do with the Astros. Neither does Pete Rose. I don't know how this was allowed to live to page 12, but it needs to die.
I have a Pete Rose baseball card that I got signed by him at a convention years ago. I doubt it's worth much considering how much **** he signed over the years. He might hold the record for most autographs.

So were Mantle, Mays, Stargell, Aaron and countless others. It wasn't illegal with a prescription. Half the Astros roster in 1981 was using coke and who knows what % of mlb'ers. I was around some of those Astros as a young kid and they used to party with a family member of mine.
