Anybody in the market for a car is going to wish they bought one sooner. You're going to be lighter in the wallet when the tariffs hit unless Trump is just blowing smoke. I read dealers are raising prices on current inventories because they will expect increased demand in the coming days for pre-tariff cars.
Those finance people are the tow truck version of the business. My cousin worked at one and he said the loaners/finance guys would blow money at stripper joints and cocaine
Went to look at a 21 Sentra for 15K for my kid. It was gone but they had another one for 17K. Sales guy comes back from the ivory tower with an offer of 27.9K out the door. Tells me everyone has to pay tax title license..... Wife tells they guy we are going to go have lunch cause she doesn't want us to get hangry on the guy. He pleads for us to wait so he can see if he can get a better deal, he comes back at 18K out the door... If I had the patience to shop around further I would have. Adding 4K for an Apex after market tracking device that the Nissan app gives you anyway plus a bunch of other add ons. The wife's Lexus was a much smoother experience even if they would only negotiate 2K off. I walked by the sales office and they were at 302 cars sold for Jan. so I dont think they were hurting.
Pretty soon we're going to be poking our heads out the sewer and be eating bbq rats like the movie Demolition man.
Having 4 kids is tuff. Vast majority of houses and cars just aren't built for that size of a family. Entry level for 3 rows is 40k OTD.
