Looking at these times and measurements from position players, it's almost a given you'll draft an impact player at some point in your draft... Wasn't like this as recently as 4 or 5 years ago... This crazy
Golden at 4.29 is just gravy. He could be a great receiver with a 4.4. His route running and competitiveness on contested catches is his bread and butter.
Tez is twice the receiver than a lot of the guys that ran those fast 40's. His strength is his ability to stop and cut on a dime and separate. He's virtually unguardable. Unfortunately, at 154 pounds, how much tread life does he have? I'd still like to have him but at no higher than our 5th round pick. Now if it was guaranteed that he wouldn't get broke in half I'd take him in the second.
Depending on who’s there I don’t think they go WR. Of course free agency hasn’t happened yet so we’ll see.
I don't know who we're picking at 25 but I do know this, we'll be looking for a QB again if we don't upgrade the OL.
I think they would fall over themselves running to give their pick if Golden is there at 25. I don't see any scenario where lasts past 15.
I would still go Offensive line or Defensive line with the first pick. The Texans need to draft a slot WR and you can draft starting slot Wide receivers in the third or 4th round. Restrepo, Dike, and Noel is who I would target.
I don't understand why the talking heads keep hyping Sanders as a top 10 draft pick this year. Cam Ward has all the tools and will be a top ten pick. I don't see any separation between Sanders, Howard, Milroe, Shough, and Dart. Any of those QB's could easily be the 2nd QB selected in the draft, but none of them have a 1st round grade.
I have started hoping for the Safety Nick at 25 and then wishing upon a star to trade back up for Oline help with Jackson. Using the profootballnetwork sim: 25. Nick Emmanwori S South Carolina 50. Donovan Jackson OG Ohio State * 89. Omarr Norman-Lott DT Tennessee 127. Kaden Prather WR Maryland (I didn't know who to pick here) *Had to trade pick. 243, next years 3rd and 6th round pick
