What are your thoughts on the BR HOF monitors and/or the comparable players? I was actually slightly surprised where they had him.
Pretty sure their algorithm never saw his entire career. Just looked: I'm not sure that any of those guys belong in the HOF: Hersheiser/Brown/Greinke/etc Scherzer does.

Greinke is expected to get in by the majority of people who have a say in this matter (whether they've earned that say or not).... at that point, Schilling will have even more of a case. But being a dick doesnt help. I do think the "very good" category is more the Pettite, Oswalt, Saberhagen, Weaver, Lee types. Then again, Mussina and Sabathia got in.... and I didn't think they were of the same HOF caliber either.
Shouldn't have. He's with Grienke and Schilling and Mike Scott and JR Richard and David Cone and Brett Saberhaghen and many, many others. I'm a tad bit more hardass with the Baseball HOF than some are, it's cool.

Bottom line is I want to stick around to discuss baseball and football. And I have moments where I can be provoked. Particularly if the discussion resembles a different forum which I go to for such discussions.
