I got you. Just the benched for performance issues stood out, like Green getting the nod to start again last season.
Not advocating for him, this came across my time-line. And honestly I don't think they're cutting Shaq anyway
Did he play LG or RG, what type of injury did he sustain and how likely is this injury to impact his future performance?
It was a shoulder injury during training camp but he was cleared to play by week 1. In week 2(?), he reinjured the shoulder and missed 6 games. His benching was due to a 6th round rookie outplaying him at LG. The Rams tried him at Center, but it did not go well. >>Rams bench Jonah Jackson: Is he worse signing than Allen Robinson? - Turf Show Times<<
I’m not saying they’re wrong… but we were a 10 win team that didn’t get blown out in the divisional against a Super Bowl team.. not saying we are fine and dandy. But it’s not like we needed a full blown it up overhaul to get fixed.. if firing the OC and NOTHING ELSE, gets us only 1-2 more wins (we had 5 losses in 1-possession games, 3 by 3 pts or less), we’ve suddenly just tied our franchise record for wins.. yes we need to work elsewhere, but saying we are overblowing the impact of firing the OC is disingenuous.
CJ wanted more control with the play adjustments based on the defense. This is because he's a heavy duty student of the game. I don't think it was personal with Bobby as much as philosophical. Now I like the chess match analogy where you have to not only know the moves, even the unusual ones like the passed pawn and castling, but the real game begins with strategy, then tactics to advance the strategy, anticipating moves of your opponent and finally reading your opponent before he reads you.
Slowik was a dead man walking the moment CJ was drafted after the pre- draft interview between Slowik/CJ. I hope CJ can do this, but the jury's still out. We're going to find out. If CJ isn't successful are we going to blame Caley?
I don't know if these older linemen will help Chicago but DAM, there at least going for it.....................hint, hint Nick.
I feel like they should go Dalman at C and Mekari for his depth to play on either side of the line at G or T. They could go best OL available in any of the first 3 rounds. Tunsil Howard Dalman Mekari Fisher

Depending on how much risk they're willing to take, Add Becton Spotrac 4 yrs 40 mil and hope he doesn't get fat, lazy, injured. James Daniels on a 1 yr, 8 mil deal if his torn achillies checks out.
