    "It takes a Village . . . . "
We have not only dismantled the Village
    We have dismantled the Family

How many Single Parent Households are there?
How many Single INCOME households are there?

We have created an adversarial relationship between Parents and Teacher
Parents think they know more about teaching and think they should dictate what they teachers teach
BUT DO NOT WANT ANY PART OF ACTUALLY TEACHING!!!
They just want to "supervise" . . .then blame teachers for any outcomes

I was a true latch key kid.
    Dad worked 3p-11p shift.
    Mom worked 10a-6p.

Honestly my brother and I had to fend for ourselves all of my high-school time period.
No one urged me to study or do homework.
    But we made it work.
Not a penny from my parents for college.
    I made it out ok.

I will say there were much fewer distractions back then. All I had was a Commodore vic and MTV.
It's tough these days with phones, gaming and internet eating up study time.

Mileage may differ from my story.

That's amazing. You are an exceptional human being.

But outcomes statistically are worse for people who don't have your natural IQ and intelligence when they don't have parents spending time with them. You are an exception because you are exceptional.

It's one of the most ironic least self aware things I see the American conservative movement does.

They b**** about the breakdown of the family and cheer on the very same thing that did said breakdown... Capitalism.

AI has helped me learn new things. At most in 3 yrs, it will be a capable tutor for many fields it takes for adulting wirh hallucinations as much as human error. Damn things might not reason or spell strawaberry correctly, but it's still 90% of the world's English knowledge made in talking form.

I'm not saying it's a replacement for schools, but if schools continue to be the way they are now, half jail half social incubator, then ai will be a mutiplier or divisor based on the mindset and approach to it.

It takes more agency and less self victimization to be and feel successful.

It's basically the Computer from Star Trek
    but
The question is will people use it for enlightenment

Every bit of Tech we get . . . . we try to corrupt for useless "pleasures"
