It's the exact opposite. Midget Zelensky thought he could show up in his pajamas and start making demands in public. Those days are over. Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do, and he won the election.
I don't think it matters how good the deal was. He always wants a little more. I think he always knew he would do this.
Wow, this is pretty nutty, but Zelensky knows better than to not kiss his ass to stroke his ego. I hate this administrations approach to foreign affairs.
this is some shameful sh*t and we all know that if Putin was there instead of Zelensky, Trump would be on his knees while JD Vance watches in the corner
Next week: Trump gets back on his knees to suck off Putin. MAGAt mental gymnastics will say Trump is a strong man and good negotiator (by literally giving Putin whatever he wants )
Trump doesn't want to sustain the world order. He wants to up end the current world order. A new world order of dictators (dictatorship alliance between Trump, Xi, and Putin). This is what he means by "peace through strength." Bully smaller countries into submission, oppress their citizens in US, China, and Russia into submission. Power in the hands of a very select few. The lives of everyone are disposable- especially with Al. MAGAts this also applies to you. He has no loyalty to you. You're seen as peasant dirt while he sucks up to billionaires and authoritarian dictators.
VANCE: Have you said thank you once? ZELENSKYY: You think if you speak very loudly— TRUMP: He’s not speaking loudly. You’ve done a lot of talking. You’re not winning this. ZELENSKYY: Mr. Trump, you are increasing the volume of your voice, but not the logic of your argument. Ukraine is still standing. We are still fighting. HEGSETH: Look, we have to be realistic. America can’t fund this war forever. ZELENSKYY: Realistic? Like when your Defense Secretary Hasgeth refusing to even say Russia invaded Ukraine? You couldn’t admit the truth, and now you want to lecture me on reality? HEGSETH: This is about diplomacy. We need a negotiated settlement. ZELENSKYY: Diplomacy? Putin broke every ceasefire, every treaty, every promise. What kind of deal do you think he wants? One where Ukraine still exists? TRUMP: You don’t have the leverage. You don’t have the cards. ZELENSKYY: Because you keep taking them away—blocking aid, repeating Putin’s lies, pretending this war is already lost. VANCE: You should be grateful. The U.S. has given you a lot. ZELENSKYY: Grateful? My people are dying while you sit here demanding I smile and shake hands with my enemy? Gratitude will come when Russia is defeated. HEGSETH: But Ukraine needs to be realistic. There are limits to what America can provide. ZELENSKYY: And are there limits to what Russia can take? Or do you just let them redraw borders by force? TRUMP: It’s going to be very hard to do business like this, Volodymyr. ZELENSKYY: Ukraine is not a business deal. We do not trade away our sovereignty. We fight for it. VANCE: But for how long? What’s the endgame? ZELENSKYY: For us, there is no exit. We win, or we cease to exist. The only question is whether America stands with us
you have to include the recently converted masculine techbro superheros, Musk the weirdo, Zuck the cuck and little man Bezos lol
Yes I'm very aware of Yarvin and the Technocrats' plan to turn the world into a collection dictator feudal states. No more democracies. A new world order of Kings and Lords with absolute power where you are at their mercy- and nothing you can do about it.
In a reality TV show, we really don't know what was pre-planned and what was improvised. Guess away. He still has time to turn this around, but this is looking like another promise of gold (peace) and delivery of crap, while blaming others for the failure. https://carnegieendowment.org/russi...25/02/trump-russia-ukraine-misfortune?lang=en Published on February 21, 2025 The euphoria that accompanied the start of negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the fighting in Ukraine was misleading. What we know of U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach to foreign policy suggests that talks are extremely unlikely to yield anything. Trump likes to present himself as someone who can solve complex international issues with consummate ease—but the truth is that he has had far more foreign policy failures than successes. He may not be shy about getting involved in deep-rooted conflicts, but he is unwilling to get on top of the details, and has a tendency to lose interest if immediate results are not forthcoming. ... If Trump’s push to end the war in Ukraine ends in failure, however, the conflict will not drop off the diplomatic agenda. Unlike North Korea, the situation in Ukraine changes every day, which will force both Europe and the United States to respond. Ultimately, the inevitable failure of Trump’s rushed peacemaking efforts means Ukraine and Europe will have to come up with a new strategy.
Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., told NBC News that the heated Oval Office exchange between Trump, Vance and Zelenskyy was "a bad day for America’s foreign policy." Bacon is among a handful of Republicans, including Sens. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who have been vocal in their criticism of the Trump administration’s approach to Ukraine. "Ukraine wants independence, free markets and rule of law. It wants to be part of the West. Russia hates us and our Western values. We should be clear that we stand for freedom," Bacon added. The congressman also tweeted earlier: "A reminder: Putin’s rivals always end up murdered. Putin despises the West and our values. We should have 100% moral clarity who this murdering dictator really is." https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/tr...a-ukraine-white-house-live-updates-rcna193942
Democratic lawmakers came to Zelenskyy’s defense in statements condemning Trump and Vance’s treatment of the Ukrainian president after the leaders got into a testy exchange during their Oval Office meeting. “Trump and Vance are doing Putin’s dirty work,” Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., wrote in a post to X. “Senate Democrats will never stop fighting for freedom and democracy.” Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., called the exchange a “sad scene” and “utter embarrassment for America,” while Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., said it was “a disgrace.” Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, kept his message simple: “Shame. Shame. Shame.” “That’s what you get for letting Vance in the room,” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., told NBC News. On X, Whitehouse wrote that Trump and Vance were “acting like ventriloquist dummies for Putin.” Democratic lawmakers slam Trump's public blowup with Zelenskyy as a ‘disgrace’, continued Rep. Brendan Boyle, D-Pa., wrote on X that it “was a great day for Vladimir Putin. President Trump and VP Vance are the best lackeys he’s ever had.” In response to Vance asking Zelenskyy if he had ever thanked the United States for aid, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said the Ukrainian president has thanked “our country over and over again both privately and publicly.” Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., characterized the spectacle with a post to X that said, “A hero and a coward are meeting in the Oval Office today. And when the meeting is over, the hero will return home to Ukraine.” https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/tr...p-zelenskyy-russia-ukraine-white-house-live-u
That was the most staged dressing down I’ve ever seen. Trump had his “attack dog” JD ready to pounce and the best he could do was cry that Zelenskyy didn’t say thank you enough. Talking down to him like a toddler was the show that Trump wanted to put on and it’ll only work for the Putin loving anti democracy cult members like we see here. MAGA people being politically influenced to hate Zelensky solves nothing. It actually makes a deal harder as Europe will be more likely to throw more behind Ukraine. Trump is only worried about his base as always and looking like a god king to those ignorant cult members who won’t leave him ever anyways. What an embarrassment but it’s exactly what we should expect and I expect him to go even lower. I know they are just looking for excuses to get out of NATO and formalize their new alliance with Putin, and Kim Jung. Again congrats Trump supporters…. Putin, Kim Jung, Trump I hope you guys are proud of the new Axis Alliance
United has a flight out of DC to Kiev tonight at 11 pm and 2 flights Sunday. I would hang around at least until Sunday if I was Vlodomir.
I was disgusted. I had to stop watching it. Trump and Vance both disgust and embarrass me as leaders of our country. I guess they'll both crawl back up Putin's butt now that the meeting is over, and wait for Putin's next orders.
Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the former President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, released the following statement after President Trump and Vice President Vance's disgraceful display in their Oval Office meeting with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine: "I have worked in foreign policy since my days as a young staffer on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I have never witnessed such an embarrassing, pathetic, and shameful display from an American President and Vice President on the international stage. The war in Ukraine is a battle between dictatorship and democracy. Between freedom and oppression. Between good and evil. There can no longer be any doubt – Donald Trump has chosen evil. He has abandoned our friends, betrayed our values, and taken the side of a brutal, authoritarian regime over a democracy-loving people. I am disgusted." https://connolly.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=6275
