The premise of this thread is that the coming deep recession is self-inflicted - driven by 200K+ federal firings, contract cancellations, tariffs, and more.

If that does happen, as the market now seems to expect, it’ll be because of these deliberate actions. The economy and inflation were on a solid trajectory before this.

If you think a recession is what will "stop" Trump, that won’t be due to some grand scheme - it’ll be the direct result of this administration’s policies.

And that loud pushback at town halls? It’s happening in deep red districts, likely from moderates or Republicans. And they have every right to voice their opposition.

What would you do to maximize your profit when stocks are expensive, crypto is expensive, and interest rates are high and you want them lower for your own business interests? Fed won't decrease rates because of inflation threat.


What do you do? You short sell and use your power to tank the markets by creating fear and taking actions that cause sell offs. You even might induce a recession. Markets crash and you make a windfall. Then you buy back your shorts and go long and put together relief efforts to drive the markets back up this time with lower interest rates. You get rid of tariffs.
