Rockets were supposed to be the deepest team in the league and if you base it on last year technically they should have been. Unfortunately a lot of the bench guys have fallen off a cliff for example at center Landale beasted last year but is playing like a scrub now. Same with Holiday 38% from 3 last year 33% this year. Cam went from Mr PER to the doghouse. Sheppard was supposed to bring shooting but is shooting worse than Castle. Tari got injured and then both him and Adams cant play B2B.
To be fair, all 3 of those guys had regular minutes + a set role last season vs this season. Also Udoka is demanding even more effort on defense + that can be taxing as even starters underperformed offensively early in season.
LOL how you figure the SUPPOSED DEEPEST team in the league…these are the type of statements I am referring to. Just delusional AF.
Reed is being trashed on a regular basis. Let's remember that this would be his sophomore year in college. Cam is a year older I think. He is much more mature physically, but mental acuity is another issue. Both will likely improve and become contributors. I think Cam is on his way out the door (attitude), but Reed is a project. You can't tell me that a player that goes to G League and drops 50 can't shoot. He is yet to adjust to the size and speed of the NBA game. I really think he will "get there." Cam's attitude will send him packing soon.
I don't get why I can't watch this game on NBA LP. Even with a VPN. It's national TV so it should be available 3 hours after it concludes. Prime thinks I'm in another market. So why can't I see the game? I ran into a friend at work today and even though as I approached I said "don't say anything about last night's game," he didn't hear me and was like "yall kicked our ass." So cats out the bag. But I still wanna watch more than just the highlights and I can't get the game on LP still... Anyone else not seeing it in their Prime LP options for replays? Any other sites that might host replays? The one posted early in thread doesn't have it. Was hoping that person would have posted the torrent by now. Had a busy week so far and was looking forward to coming straight home, watching the game in bed, and deucing by 8:30 pm. lol
May want to ask @jaychi for torrent link. His threads are surprisingly quiet but he provides an amazing service.
Rockets are 37-22. I highly doubt any team below them in the standings has better depth. Above them, Lakers, Nuggets, Knicks defintely not. Memphis is deep, but they are better in record so far because they have JJJ and Morant, IMO. Heck, if FVV comes back, the Rockets may pass these four teams because guard depth is the only depth weakness the Rockets have. Even then, Amen is improving fast. Basically, the only teams with a decent chance of being deeper (OKC, Boston, Cleveland) have stacked starting lineups so it is hard to tell if their depth is better or if it is just the starters carrying bench players while they are in the game.
Cam is older than Reed by ~ 2 weeks. Pretty much the same exact age. Don't forget, when Cam was drafted he was still technically only 18 years old. Reed had just turned 20 when he was drafted.
