I imagine prison would be a bit of a culture shock for them.

No vaccine is 100% effective at stopping a disease. Not only the COVID vaccine - even the rwe showed it was better than placebo by a significant margin. Even the measles vaccine and other ones are not 100%. And that's why people being unvaccinated is so dangerous for even the vaccinated. Not just with COVID, again, with any disease with a vaccine.

The purpose of vaccines is not just to stop you from getting a disease but rather to stop the spread of a disease. Vaccines don't need to be 100% effective to whip a disease out or control it. There's a lot of other factors.

Sounds like what you are advocating is Vaccinating them . . .correct?
The goal of Society/Government is to protect itself .. . . to protect the people
Here is then thing . . .. if it doesn't . .. they people have to protect themselves

If someone's vaccinated kid dies because of some unvaccinated kid . . .. .
If that parent goes and beat the brakes off that whole family
    Then what?
Government wants to come in an "protect" the unvaccinated that was a the cause of that parent's Child's death?

I expect in the coming years. . . . more and more people simply taking the law into their own hands
because the Government ain't doing its job

Thread title gets me every time. "Large swaths" of children reminds me of 'binders full of women.' And 20 kids isn't really a swath-- you know how many kids there are in the world?

It’s going to disappear. One day--it’s like a miracle--it will disappear. And from our shores, we--you know, it could get worse before it gets better. It could maybe go away. We’ll see what happens. Nobody really knows.

You are joking, but it's going to disappear. Enough of the public is vaccinated to stop this from spreading widely soon.

But if this trend of anti-vaccination continues, that won't be true in the future.

I don't understand the point of your post. Are you saying that for public safety we should not allow anyone to be unvaccinated? Or, is it just unvaccinated immigrants who you think pose the public safety risk?

I would guess a billion, and we should vaccinate them all for everything we can.

A Texas father whose 8-year-old daughter died of measles has sparked controversy after defending his anti-vaccine beliefs, claiming vaccinated relatives suffered "way worse."

Texas, particularly Gaines County, has been one of the hardest-hit areas, with over 300 confirmed measles cases since January, according to the Guardian.

The outbreak has proven deadly, especially among the unvaccinated, with three deaths reported so far, including two young girls—Daisy Hildebrand and Kayley Fehr—from the close-knit Mennonite community in Seminole, Texas.

Despite decades of scientific consensus supporting the safety and effectiveness of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, vaccine hesitancy continues to fuel outbreaks in under-vaccinated areas.

Pete Hildebrand, the father of 8-year-old Daisy who died last week from measles pulmonary failure, continues to publicly reject vaccines, stating in an interview Monday that vaccinated members of his extended family experienced worse cases than his unvaccinated kids.

"I know it's not effective because some family members ended up getting the vaccine, and they got the measles way worse than some of my kids," said Hildebrand. "The vaccine was not effective."

His comments came just one day after burying Daisy and sharing a meal with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who, according to Hildebrand, never directly addressed the vaccine's efficacy during the visit.

Some of them got it way worse, but they’re alive and your unvaccinated child died?

somebody please make that make any sense

Why are the parents not being arrested for child negligence? Seriously?

I had a relative in Pakistan who's nephew got hospitalized for measles last week and the local authorities arrested both parents for child negligence. I was honestly surprised but that's what needs to happen..

Why the hell isn't it happening in America?
