You can tell Chiney does everything in her power to squeeze the Rockets onto ESPN. If we just win a little bit she'll make sure she mentions us. She's such a great representative for us because she is a great BASKETBALL analyst, excellent speaker, entertaining and well respected. Doesn't hurt in the media industry that she's attractive and dresses well. She's going to climb that ladder if Malika allows it. I know Perkins sometimes pushes the Rockets too but man he's considered a bad analyst by pretty much everyone and he's mostly there for fun debates and controversial takes. She even had this moment in 2022. ESPN in her ear telling her she's not supposed to talk about the Rockets. I graduated high school with Chiney. Pretty cool to see her on ESPN and all that she's accomplished.
Kendrick Perkins (who I can barely listen to) is another Rockets homer on ESPN. Richard Jefferson has also consistently gone out of his way to praise them. (His recent take on JVG being in the MIP conversation was a little too much). JVG was a big Houston homer, not just for the Rockets, until ESPN chopped him off.
Suns still believe in these big centers.
