I think Jabari is 100% our starting 4 for the foreseeable future. Even when Bari isn't making shots his rebounding and shot blocking are critical. He also helps Sengun a lot on defense and allows us to switch 1-4 because Bari is a good perimeter defender. FVV I feel like his numbers are deceptive. A lot of the time he ends up taking bad shots at the end of the shot clock and he was our primary clutch player when he was playing. He was shooting way better as a second or third option on the Raptors where defenses didn't scout for him every game. On this team he has to run the offense while also playing good defense night in and night out.
Just catching up with this game on my DVR, and OMG if that wasn't a clear-path foul against Jabari in the 2nd quarter, there's no such thing. The idea that 39-year-old Chris Paul was going to contest that from the other side of the court ... just comical.
No, I'm merely educating you.
You got a problem with me though?
Sorry: Who the fk were you again?
did anyone else see tate get mad at reed for continuing to get destroyed by the full court press? my god he must get bullied in practice
Yeah thank you for reminding me as this is one of the few things I wanted to point out, because it pissed me off. In general the new clear path rules are either not clear to the referees, too open to interpretation or just incompetent (leaning towards this). I’ve seen us getting a clear path foul against us after they secured a rebound and were about to run the other way. My guess is they did this because we were ahead so much, but that shouldn’t matter. Some other thoughts: - Jabari plays so small for his size and athletically cannot even match Jeff Green’s ass. It’s embarrassing how stiff he is, cannot adjust his shot once he goes up and seems unable to just go up and change form according to the angle he take it a shot from. Let’s not even start about a proper hookshot or lay-up. And with his tendency to get so low, starts a shot from his hip and also brings the ball out of rebound way too low, thus loses the ball a ton. I am really losing faith in him as nothing more than a bench forward to get a couple of rebounds, maybe a few stops and a few threes. - Our bench is not deep, at least not as much as fans here claimed at one point. We looked like ass with that Reed Jock unit. Hate how they didn’t keep foot on the gas and we lost our lead. - Amen will be our star among this group, maybe Green as well. Sengun will be our Divac without rim protection, which is fine. But man Amen’s shot is coming around, he’s looking more aggressive and is on the rise towards stardom. - I have no clue why Adams was kept for this game, could’ve used that length against the Bucks and in general you’d think he’d play against a great team and rest against a **** team. - Brooks ball watches a lot for a guy with a good to great defender reputation.
Ah, so you stopped reading at the first part again did you? Oh well, you tried, reading comprehension just isn't for everyone.
Their last blowout win was January 18 at Portland. It's been a long time. The Rockets are now 3-1 since Jabari's return and 25-12 overall with him this season. I'd say he's the key to this team's success.
Agree with most of what you said (at least through the 3rd as I was out by the 4th). The Rockets are 37-22 without a current All-NBA player and are 10-12 deep in rotation level players. and just coasted until after I was asleep without 2 of their Top 5 players. Reed and Joc are outside that 10-12. I don't fret over what the deep bench did while I was asleep. I thought the Rockets got good minutes from Jeff Green and not damaging minutes from Adams and Holiday last night while the starting lineup absolutely dominated with two bench players starting. When FVV and Tari play, the Rockets bench minutes are usually great outside a few minutes without FVV. Though with Amen getting better at attacking space from the perimter, I think when FVV gets back, those few minutes will likely be better than they were. I'm much more concerned with how the Rockets starting lineup does than the bench. The starting lineup was not an issue yesterday.
You got a problem with me though?
Sorry: Who the fk were you again?
I’m the guy you’re replying to at 1 am. Big feelings crew captain over there.
Looks like they were using soccer's offside rule to judge this which is clearly not the intent of the clear path rule.
