He has the same problem as Booker because he's almost always gone by 25. But if either is there, it becomes a no-brainer.
LT - Tunsil; LG - Zabel; C - Patterson; RG - Jackson; RT - Howard with Fisher backing up at Tackle DE - WAJ; DT Autry; DT Phillips; DE - Hunter with Settle rotating or starting depending on the progress of Phillips.
This would be awesome. Add either Mitchell Evans or Jackson Hawes at TE in the 5th rd and this draft would be awesome. Add a CB/S/another WR in FA and this team is SB worthy.
Loving this one except the DE. Feel like a Safety is a must. Not just any safety tho, he has to have experience covering receivers in the slot for when Pitre goes down with a 'miscue' to the body. Luckily Winston Jr and Bowman are some later prospects that can cover slot receiver, attack the run in the box and lurk deep.
I assume nothing. The current Roster has Autry rotating at both DT and DE with several not ready for prime time players aboard. We took some big losses at DT. Edwards, Barnett, Hughes and Fatikasi.
Which is why DT should be high on the needs list. I bet they bring back one of the DT's. Probably Fatukasi
There are two on my radar. The first is Kenneth Grant who is likely to be there with our first pick. But many will be displease with anything other than WR or OL there. He also has a fan in Seth Payne who loves his technique. While there are many DTs in the draft, a possible 4th round selection would be Jordan Phillips of Maryland. He would be a project at only 20, but he has a wrestling background and is a weight lifting freak on Bruce Felman's list. Phillips was included on Bruce Feldman’s Annual Freaks List and credited with a 665-lb squat and a 365-lb overhead press (two reps). Thanks to the new league rules for underclassmen admittance, he was invited to and participated in the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl. I'd like him around Autry and Settle while he learns the ropes and tricks of the trade. I would even be willing to double up on DT if we could manage both. ps Do not confuse this Jordan Phillips with the DT in Buffalo with the same name.
Give us this draft and we're winning the Super Bowl! LB Cody Simon is supposed to be good in covering TE, a weakness of ours. Jordan Hancock was a starting safety for Ohio State and considering that we probably need help there taking this dude in the 7th is a no-brainer. It's a Buckeye-heavy draft but there's a reason they're national champions.
Now this is a draft with 2 trades. Trade 1 with Minnesota - 25 [720] for 30 [620] and 97 [112] (Traded again to NE for Egbuka) Trade 2 with Kansas City - 30 [620] and 167 [24] for 31 [600] and 95 [120] (Loveland) 31. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan 58. Donovan Jackson OG Ohio State [Zabel went 50] 89. Gunnar Helm TE Texas (Passing & Blocking) 95. Jack Bech WR TCU (Hands & Blocking) 97. Tez Johnson WR Oregon (Speed 4.33, Hands & Special Teams) Electric acceleration and change-of-direction skills make him a yards-after-catch nightmare - turns quick hitches into chunk plays regularly. Perfect for runner in motion and outlet. Essentially Tank Insurance. 127. Jordan Phillips DT Maryland NT in Odd man front. OWNS leverage. Turns 21 on 6/30.
25. Luther Burden III, Missouri · WR If the Texans don't retain Stefon Diggs -- the impending free agent who's still recovering from a torn ACL suffered in late October -- this Missouri standout would be a perfect replacement as an electric catch-and-run specialist.
Very informative. If Walter Nolan or grant is there at 25 run it up to the podium. I like Harmon from Oregon too.
