Year 2 Sengun is definitely a magician, unfortunately Year 4 is not

I would trade him for a rim protector. Unfortunately, it seems like he can't improve.

One of the best in the league at creating shots, which I think surprises noone who watches the rockets. If only he could make them...

I knew he missed a lot around the rim this year, but just checked dunksandthrees and it has him in the 24th percentile in rim %. 98th percentile in rim attempts. 6th worst rim % among 83 centers, but ahead of Adams and Landale.

Last year, he was middle of the road for centers which was pretty good considering volume and his role.

I like how T.J. McConnell creates more rim shots than Jokic, pretty funny.

He's been missing so many good looks, it's maddening. He'll get right to the rack and put it off the front of the rim, sometimes multiple times in a row by getting his own rebound. He would be averaging 22, 11, and 5 if he were converting at his career average rate.

Alp is definitely underrated on this board. Same can be said about Jalen. But this list makes me even more intriged about trading for Zion. Having 2 of top 5 rim creators on Rockets would be amazing.

Most people here acknowledge Sengun as the current top player on the team…and why tf would you want to trade for a perennially injured player?

Year 3 Sengun did magic in Vegas.

Year 4 Sengun doing magic at those gas stations on the way to New Orleans.

Zion is a top 15 player when healthy + his game fits Rockets system to a "T". Zion for all his availability issues is already 2× All Star + still only 25. Pairing Zion with coach like Udoka could bring out the best in both. Zion is the Tatum like talent that should stabilize + weaponize Rockets offense, especially at end of games when opposing teams slow it down with zone.

Big men, 285lbs in this case, with a history of leg/knee/foot issues are a big no from me and most NBA GMs. He's on a huge albatross contract through 2028. You combine those two and it's a big no ****ing way.

If he gets bought out and we get him at a discount, sure. But any good front office isn't going to grab this guy unless it's salary cap movement.

I would rather have a straight balling bulldog like Jabari than a unicorn who plays 40% of the games of his career.

I would take the proven Unicorn over the solid player with upside everytime. Especially if both still young. FYI Zion is more of a dog than Jabari (unsure why we're comparing the two) + now playing at 264, full 20 lbs lighter than his rookie season.

I view Jabari more like a giraffe rather than a bulldog but sure why not.

nope, his summer partying entourage tiktok needies came to visit his allstar game, and they have been partying ever since, same as the leeches the whole last summer. he will become a loser unless he loses those leeches. no 22 year old should regress at any condition. I used to watch his games, now it feels shameful to watch his pathetic play.

It is very frustrating, but there is no good reason those shots don't fall more often in the future.
If Sengun hits another, two, or three of those bunnies he is missing now, we have an established impact player.
