He was MIA tonight on offense for some reason. After hitting his 1st three he never made another shot all night. Unbelievable our team can still win these type of games. We have so many different options so in addition to having unmatched defense it is hard for the other team to shut everybody down.
To make matters worse Florida was fouling like crazy with 5 minutes. Like they thought they had a chance. I didn't get the feed until 12.30 in the 1st.
I wanted a ball to go out of bounds at Mahomes so he could get run over by multiple players just for sake of karma..
Champs again! And Mahomey, you can sit down now and pout some more. Mo' Misery for you. Overall solid game. Uzan's turn to lead the assault. Couldn't pull away, but always in control. Champs!
Amazing we won with his production. A shame he had only 5 after dropping nearly 30 previously. Pulled a Jalen Green on us.
Isn't he supposed to be a pretty good scorer though? I'll admit, I'm a bit lax on catching most of the Coog games this year, but I always thought he had the ability to really light it up on the offensive side of the ball. Or is he a streaky scorer?
I know Fran said it multiple times, but it is amazing how much Uzan has improved since the first few games of the season. Besides the career high in points, he looked like a leader. Cryer's shooting off? Roberts having trouble scoring inside. Give Uzan the ball at let him figure it out.
Like when Luis Scola chasing a loose ball would knock out a row of court side soccer moms who were looking at their iphones instead of watching the game.
Agreed, I can't remember a Cougar team with this many shooters. Cryer, Sharp, and Uzan can explode at any time. If they all were on at the same time, UH could look like that Miami team that knocked them out of tournament. They couldn't miss.
The emergence of Uzan... Eat em Up If we can stay healthy, this team is more than capable of winning it all.
Love waking up in the morning and seeing all the tech fans still tight about the loss. In a way they kinda remind me of memphis fans. i miss those guys.
I feel like the only way you beat this team is by jacking up 3's and hoping they fall. Trying to run a normal offense is really hard to do if not impossible against our suffocating defense. I keep having flashbacks of that Miami game a few years ago though. Also, our patented 5 or 6 minute scoring droughts are concerning come tournament time. But those seem to be fewer and far between compared to years past. Other than that, this team looks pretty unbeatable.
Couldn’t agree more If Cryer can be more consistent with Uzan becoming the go to guy to keep us out of droughts, we might finally be able to be confident in our offense to go along with our defense. But I really think Cryer is the X factor here, we can get by early in the tournament if he doesn’t play well but later on he needs to produce for us to have a chance to win it all.
