Cam just needs consistent time, just like Reed to find his way - Brooks is honestly in his way, ATM.

Brooks defense has fallen off big time. It’s funny how he was calling LeBron old and now he looks like the old and slow one. If he continues to regress he needs to be traded this offseason to open up minutes for guys like Cam.

He can't stay in front of anyone at the wing position he plays good on bigger players, but most players blow right by him, his offense has been better, I am kinda hoping they move him this summer.

Lately he’s been instigating more and pissing opponents off, which 9/10 results in them going off or at least waking up. He needs to stop it. Against the Jazz it was Aaron who unleashed the villain and it was definitely part of losing grip on the game. Silly fouls is basically Brooks right now on defense.

    Just needs consistent time?

He has had consistent time - he's been in the rotation since December averaging 20 minutes a night in January/February since Jabari was out.

He only missed 2 games, one vs. Boston when he was sick and on Friday, not sure why he didn't play, but I would gues it's because he's been bad lately .

He has been disastrously bad in February - 34/29/65 shooting - that is *awful* for a player whose main value proposition is scoring.

Rockets should have gotten rid of fool's gold at the deadline - I don't see him having much value the longer he goes on like this.

I’m not sure the rest of the league thinks as highly of Cam as we do. I’m pretty sure this season has really hurt his value coming off a rookie season where he for sure would have returned lotto pick value.

I suspect someone else is more in his way: CAM.

I’d sure hate to see him gone cheap.

I’m going to put my trust in Ime on this one. Whatever he thinks best with Cam is okay with me. Ime sees things we do not. We don’t see what goes on behind the scenes. I’m still optimistic about Cam, but I’m content to let Ime be the coach and develop cam the way he sees fit.

Most of those games in Jan/Feb where he had 20+ minutes he played great. When he under 15 minutes he doesn't play well. That's on him but also on coach for not seeing that he needs more time.

His February numbers in 20+ minutes aren't great but we're talking about a five game sample size.

I have a lot of confidence in Cam. With playing time he'll be fine. With splits of 20-29 minutes this year Cam is 46/39/75

LOL, have you even considered that when Cam plays bad, he gets fewer minutes? It's not the other way around.
    Your reasoning is hilarious.

Trading Cam for chump change does not help the Rockets at all.

When you say "we", do you mean Cam fans only? I doubt most folks on the forum think very highly of him.

He's not even worth chump change at this point. He's a salary matching throw in now.

The big thing is that Cam has not only not gotten any better from last year - he's actually gotten worse by every available measure!

Yes if you factor out the games that he's bad, he looks good! lol.

I don't disagree with your thoughts on Cam. That doesn't mean they should have traded him at the deadline for no return.

They should have dumped him and Jabrari for Fox.

Ime has a quick hook, he overplays his favorites, and doesn't give 2 ***** for development......IMHO, he is doing ok, but not great, we lose B2B games because our starters are exhausted, he doesn't play a balanced unit by having our better shooters on the floor at least one.....

We have guys that can shoot above 40% from 3, but they are buried on the bench.

Ime OVER VALUES defense, when balance wins rings.

He is the anti-D'Antoni - neither of which are likely to win with their ways.

Fox didn't want to be here, he wanted SA and that's what he got.

Stone maybe could have offered Jabari & Cam as you suggest and maybe Sacramento takes that deal.
Then Fox bolts for SA as a free agent and Stone looks like a ****ing moron and you'd be the first one making three new threads about "FireStone" for making such a stupid trade.

Instead of biitching about Stone, make a Fire @Imanimal thread.

Who’s we? Rox or fans? If Rox think highly of him, I don’t think he would have been sent down to the g-league and only got inconsistent minutes after that.
