    Please explain this post.

I'm not familiar with the Adelson's except they are major casino owners.

BTW, Is Kleber coming back and if so when? He could give the Lakers the 15-18 mins they are currently missing at the C position and obviously Luka/Kleber have chemistry.

Here's one theory. Some people believe the main reason the Adelson family bought the Mavs is because the NBA is pushing sports gambling more and more. Owning a team will allow them to influence the direction of the NBA in regards to gambling and steer it in a way that benefits their gambling empire. So there was a backroom deal made with Adam Silver where if they sent Luka to the Lakers then the NBA will go along with and aid them in their sports gambling plans.

I mean if they only see the Mavs as a tool to aid their business empire then who is on the roster and whether the team wins or loses is of no consequence to them.

It seems like personal spite. If you watched that series, Luka's 'defense' was not really the problem (Celtics scored on everyone), it was a almost everyone except Derrick Jones Jr have a poor offensive series. Plus, it was Luka who got them to the Finals...did he not watch any of the other series? and Luka finished as the leader in playoff pts, rebounds, assists, and steals.

yeah, definitely get rid of THAT guy! sigh.

Talk now that Luka might well not sign an extension with the Lakers, and if he doesn't, the most likely destination for him would be ... the Rockets! Think he'd be a fantastic fit, if true.

I like Kleber, but he is what he is, which is maybe a 3rd string center who can eat up minutes. If he's their 'answer' at Center, they have big problems.

They just need a guy that can give them 10-15 mins per game. Kleber has chemistry with Luka and can do this if healthy.

wut-EVER. Doncic types aren't supposed to last long in cities like Dallas. Teams like the Lakers aren't supposed to be without Doncic types for long. So staged.

Basketball-wise..., I still can't see Doncic and LeBron finding an appropriate game. I didn't catch the entire half or any of the Nuggets game, but from what I have seen, they are Doncic's team when he is on the floor. LeBron is not finding it as easy to get the most out of the leftover shot clock Doncic leaves him. At his best, Doncic doesn't need him. Doncic doesn't know how to get the best out of LeBron. The supercomputers have to figure it out. Good luck. At least Reaves is still playing well, they seem to have a plan, and the rest of the Lakers are still playing hard.

I don't see how anyone watched that series couldn't observe that Luka's defense and defensive effort were the clear problem. They targeted him at will and his errors threw their entire scheme off. Yeah, they wouldn't have made it there without him, but he got exposed.

Just like Curry got exposed a million times before he won his titles with a muchhhhhh stronger team

Luka took a bunch of d leaguers to the playoffs

He has flaws like every player

    Jordan had flaws too

Don't mean you complete the worst trade in NBA history

I wonder what they would think of Sengun. He does that all summer...

Imagine if they found out what Harden would do every night after games and before games.

So he's the modern day Charles Barkley? I mean even Mike and Scottie drank beers, but no one could deny their work ethic as it was easy to see in their ripped physiques. Chuck drank and was accused of laziness and had weight issues, but he could put it together enough for a run. Jordan told Pippen that Chuck would never win a ring b/c he wasn't dedicated enough. Except Jordan was in Chucks way and when it wasn't Jordan, it was Hakeem. Who is going to be in Lukas way? I could easily see a sharp decline for Luka once he hits 30, but why trade him now? For a guy proving his nickname for you after you claimed it a win now move? Rigged. Chuck was almost a Laker before he was a Sun too. Luka going to get fit for 1 season and he's going to win MVP and have his best season-and Lakers probably somehow magically get more weapons this summer so they'll likely win it next year with it being rigged.
The only thing that can stop it? LeBron. Just like he tanked the Mavs series so Wade wouldn't win FMVP. He would tank it before Luka wins MVP,FMVP and is the clear #1 of the team. Bron knows that would hurt his legacy more than help and that's why he hasn't been chasing rings these past years. He was content staying put with his clear legacy defining aim being all time scoring leader and accumulating total stats vs winning more and potentially being the sidekick.
