You have to give Iowa State Credit they know how to play defense. And the one thing you can always say about the Coogs they're going to win ugly a lot of the time this time they shot the ball really well they just turned it over too much.
I was at the game and the Coog fans really brought it today. We didn’t let those refs off the hook. I think that helped them realize how poor their whistle was and start reviewing some things. Cause that crowd was a force! Proud of my Coogs. I really like that Iowa State team. Lots of respect. That’s a tough team. Swarming defensive energy and good fundamentals on offense. They had me scared for a second there haha.
Iowa State and Auburn are two teams most like the UH program. Their coaches formed their programs according the Sampson Doctrine.
Last night's game went about like I expected. When we were up 16 and they cut it to a one point I think we were guilty of taking the foot off the gas a little too soon. Thankfully we woke up just in time to take charge. I knew it was over when Sharp hit that clutch dagger three to put it out of reach. What ISU lost with their two leading scorers out they gained in defensive intensity. I can't remember the last time Uzan had four turnovers in a game. Kudos to ISU and their coach for the way they played given the circumstances. Thank God Cryer played probably his best game as a Coog and was virtually unstoppable with that step back three. Arizona lost to BYU after our game so that sets up Monday night against TT to clinch the Big 12. We have a 3 game lead and are probably going to eventually clinch it anyway but might as well end it Monday night on Tech's home court. I know it's too much to ask, I am still okay if we go into the tournament as a 2 seed, but I would like to run the table. That's probably what it would take to move up to a one seed. Could you imagine going 19-1 in the Big12 this year? We are already 15-1 but my biggest ask is to get through the rest of the season and the conference tournament with no injuries. If we can get there 100% healthy with the talent on this team, barring an upset, we could go all the way this year.

Why do two Top Ten teams have their game pushed back an hour to accomodate two unranked teams? Move the North Carolina/ Florida State game UP an hour. I'm tired of central time zone teams starting games at 8 or 8:30 during the week to get in ESPN's schedule.
I was in Tulsa for a wedding this weekend and I watched the game on Saturday with a bunch of OU and OSU fans. They all really hate Sampson but it's really a jealousy more than hate. Especially the OU fans, for obvious reasons. Also, I've said this before, but...I love those Phi Slamma Jamma unis so much that seeing them actually gives me wood.
Houston is now ranked number 4 in the national poll. Our changes for a number one seed is rising. Coogs can clinch a Big 12 championship tonight. Huge game.
look, i dont think we are losing this one, but if by some freak occurrence we do, we have enough of lead to not worry about it too much. so, no losing! but if we do, its totally ok.
