I am really wondering what happens with Durant towards the end of the season, the Suns do not own their pick, but I can not imagine them running Durant out there w Booker when their season begins to look like it is over. Do the Blazers and Spurs end up in front of the Suns in that case?
They want to show everyone that Durant is a 70 game player even at his age. Sitting him would bring down his trade value.
An injury would bring down his trade value even more. I know he’s been an iron man and on the verge of breaking AC Greens record and all but the alternative would be devastating for both of them.
Wemby's "injury" is one that could end or significantly shorten his career ..... it's potentially life threatening should that clot dislodge and cause a stoppage elsewhere. Thrombosis is also highly likely to reoccur. It's quite possible that Wemby doesn't finish his first contract.
Just took a look at the rest of the Phoenix schedule. looks like they will go 6-21 to end the season. They will be favored in only one of their last 11 games. I think they will end up with around the 8th slot before the lottery. We may end up keeping the pick.
They ran him out there tonight again for 40 minutes in a 20 point blow out to a tanking Eastern Conference team. An injury to KD in these circumstances can make the franchise look really bad. I'm not sure how he managed 40 minutes in a game like this.
We should. Dont see any obvious super star target available. Booker has been beyond disappointing and honestly his season stats are nowhere super max worthy.
I agree. Don't want Booker or Trae Young about the only 2 "stars" I see as being available. Maybe it's time to start utilizing our assets to build around Amen, instead of going for the homerun ball?
So, at what point do you start thinking about making the pick? Right now, it seems pretty clear - to me at least - that Amen, Sengun, and Green are our most obvious pieces to build around from our young core. Ideally, you find one more piece. Maybe that fourth piece comes from our existing core, or maybe we do a consolidation trade using this pick. But, if the pick ends up somewhere like seventh - which isn't really unreasonable - how good would someone like Knueppel or Tre Johnson look around those guys? Amen / Green / Knueppel or Johnson / Bari or Tari / Sengun
KD played another 40 minutes last night in a loss against Toronto.... I think the kid from Illinois would be a perfect fit for us.
