Ant struggles when pressured especially in crunch time or forces himself to score or make a play. We have seen this in the playoffs and we saw it last game vs Rockets. He can’t handle pressure when it comes early and turns the ball over quite a bit in critical situations

Ant is literally the face of the league, even if he does not want to be. Wemby is already falling apart, Ant is a super star. The crazy thing is that you are trying to portray JG as someone who will be much better in the future, but Ant has been that guy since day 1 and they are practically the same age. You are not comparing a 19 year old to a 23 year old and betting on the 19 year old to grow into some super star player better than Ant, you are literally comparing a couple guys about the same age. Ant is that guy, listen to him speak and watch the games that matter.

I am trying to wrap my head around why you posting a single games stats means anything. Is it because someone said ANT is ungaurdable? I assure you ANT puts way more pressure on defenses than Jalen does. With Jalen and basically our whole team you just have to pack the paint and force us to shoot outside shots. If we are making them then we are a problem, but more often than not its an effective strat.

 

funny how Rocket fans demonize Jalen when he gets 25 plus points shooting 30% from 3 and 42% overall but immortalize other players with comparable or worse numbers.

Yep that is what we are doing, it can't be that we are comparing a much larger body of work, because that would be real analysis....

Same guy who shot poorly in the most critical playoff games for 3 years straight? Same guy with more than 5 TO’s back to back in games 3 and 4 against Dallas last year. Same guy who couldn’t lead his team to beat Dallas? Same dude that shot .250 in game 7 against Denver last year?

As great as Ant is he aint it. Too many mental lapses and cracks under pressure. Until he proves he can lead his team consistently in the post season in the most critical games he ain’t it.

 

I have noticed you usually post irrelevant and snarky responses and never address what I wrote. You mentioning he has 29 points is not analysis. I never even said who’s better than whom. I spoke specifically on fans who praise others while demonizing our own Jalen with comparable or lesser numbers. Now if you are into your feelings about what I wrote that has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you.

Yep, same guy. Dallas made it to the finals last year lol, you are acting like they were nothing. Denver is like the 3rd best team and won a championship recently, not exactly doing much with that point. Ant is a couple of tiers above JG, should not be controversial.

 

It is ok to be a fan and love a player, it is ok to be a fan and criticize a player - you just be you - don't be bothered that others think differently - be happy in your own beliefs....

You aren't going to influence me, or anyone else by trying to make Jalen a victim and calling people haters, when they are just Rocket fans who are calling out what they see - it is ok to be both.

Jalen is a decent NBA player, he isn't great, he isn't trending towards great, he is just a pretty good player - better than average, but not special.

Now that is my opinion - you can feel that when he reaches 25 he will be 30ppg and you might be right, you might not.....just enjoy the ride.

Let’s see what happens in the playoffs (assuming the Rockets do get there this year). Ant led the Wolves to the conference finaks last year, which was his 4th year in the league.
Jalen in his 4th year now. Let’s see where he leads us, and then we’ll be smart enough to decide.
By the way, when Harden was in his 4th year, he led us to the 8th playoff spot, playing with a pretty weak roster around him, much weaker than the one around Jalen this year. If we somehow don’t end up above 8, that means Green is no where near what Harden ever was to us.

 

Stick to the topic here. Do not conflate and do not divert and do not make stuff up. What does DEN being 3rd has to do with anything? You are stating misinformation. DEN was 1st in the west and they played an 8th seed team in the finals. MIN was 3rd in the West against a 5th seed Dallas team. Edwards simply did not show up in the most critical games there is no dispute. Im not in the business of arguing who’s better than whom. Im pointing out your false information and flawed logic. Before you crown anyone “that guy” or the “face of the NBA” do your homework and know what you’re speaking on.
