We already didn’t have a suitable backup at PG before he went down. Holiday isn’t the answer and Reed is hot garbage. It’s really not that surprising.

I would hate to watch the Rockets play in the playoffs or play in at this point. It would just be too hard to watch us get manhandled in the first round and probably a rude awakening to the front office that we are not that good at all.
Not only that, but he made some of the most boneheaded decisions on offense when he's supposed to be a heady veteran. I know he went on a nice little 8 point run to help us win yesterday, but today is more indicative of who he really is, and I'd really like to move on from Aaron Holiday. I thought Reed would completely supplant him in the rotation by now, but that hasn't been the case. I hope it becomes the case soon.
Stone is a horrible GM who can only take advantage of desperate teams and both times it was the Nets(Harden trade and trade to get their picks back which is still questionable). I'm not convinced that he initiates calls or has any idea how to build a winning team. He gets praise for allowing this team to tank and building a team off top 5 picks.
ON PAPER our bench is super solid, with Big Steve, Tari, Jaesean. Cam and Reed. But our two youngsters are horrifically inconsistent and our first guys off the bench are always missing games for some reason or another. No reason why we shouldn't have picked up SOMEBODY off waivers or at the trade deadline.
