H0ping he still paces himself so he wont tire out in the seasons end --- and be healthy in the playoffs
You are the number one Jalen Green hater on this forum and we all know it! Make some positive posts about Jalen every once in a while, why don't you??
I think fans, especially on Clutchfans, tend to overreact to both great and awful games by Jalen, but the one thing that I've seen this season has been growth. No, his shot's not always falling and yes, he turns the ball over too much still. But the game is clearly slowing down for him, and he's able to be effective even when he's not scorching hot. In the third, Jalen started the quarter missing a bunch of shots after his first layup, but instead of forcing the action he got others involved and was smart with his offense (especially attacking Luka Garza). I think that helped him regain his rhythm in the 4th, and he played intelligently down the stretch. He also gets HACKED, and can't buy a call. As he gets stronger, hopefully the whistle will come. As it is, I'm pleased with his development this season even if he hasn't suddenly turned into a star overnight. Consistent progress should be all we ask for!
In my book, Jalen will be judged almost solely on what happens post-ASB and particularly in the playoffs. He definitely must be better than the first 55 games and tonight was a very good start. We've got 26+ games and over 2 months before the verdict comes in.
I think you are not wrong but that contract spans over 2-3 years time. He has time. Could he have gotten less money? For sure.
He doesn't have as much time as you think. Rockets could very well decide Jalen is not "the guy" at SG and he could be traded in the offseason. Clock is ticking. We'll see.
Ant went 13/32, 4/14 from 3, and Lost. If Jalen put up them stats yall would be trying to send him back to the G League
yeah but why are the normal fans so worried ....can lean back. Both outcomes are not bad, either he plays well or he is replaced or getting benched. Stone isn't that prolific of a trader. I don't get why there is this back and forth....
Never. His 35% is worse than everyone else's 35%, I don't care if it's 35% anyway. I disagree with his forehead. I hate the nail polish on his thumbs especially for some reason. I don't know what he smells like but I'm sure he does that wrong too. I wish he were more like Jordan Poole. HE IS WHAT HE IS! Spoiler (Am I doing it right?)
Nailed it, really like the analysis. I try to calm people when their expectations get too high and challenge them when they're too low. His defense has improved in 5 of the past 6 quarters. His shot selection has improved constantly - every month he's selecting shots better, even if he's missing them. Jalen Green is 39.5% on catch and shoot 3's with only 27 games remaining in the season. He's taking 3.4 attempts - and these monkeys are constantly comparing him to people who only take catch and shoot at low/average volumes, saying they wish Jalen could be that. And he literally is that. To put this in perspective, Brooks is the best at 39.7% on 5 attempts, Jalen is practically tied with FVV on volume and percentage (39.5% vs 39.7%) and better than Jabari (38.2% on 4.2 attempts). Cam Whitmore at 28.8%. Jalen is not even a shooter, these are all known shooters. He's passively competing with them in THEIR arena lol. Out of all these shooters, only Jalen Green can get free in iso for a 3 without needing a screen. He's not particularly good at it yet (hence the frequency of low lights), but like his catch and shoot, the team just demanded it from him and this is now ticking upwards too. The kid just puts his head down and works. They ignore progress, gravity, shooting, performances in spacing, etc. If they would just add those to their criticisms, at least we'd get a fuller picture even if we disagree.
Dude are you ok? Did you even see people mocking you for saying this? I am Jalen Green Fan #0000000000000000001, I gave birth to you (which I'm starting to regret). You must have me confused with something or someone else. You misunderstood a post that everyone else understood. Just own up and say oops instead of doubling down on your mistake.
This is a fair and balanced take on Jalen. When he gets cooking, he's fun to watch and his 3-ball is definitely getting more consistent and that's even with taking longer and more difficult shots. If he got the Ant treatment on his drives he would have had another 7-8 FTAs last night. What still bothers me with Jalen is his lackadaisical moments--the not running down the bad pass in the backcourt, losing the ball in important situations, lazy passes, etc. He's still young and hopefully with Ime and film time he'll focus and continue to reduce these mistakes. But, yes, he has improved this year and he has been coming up big when we need him. His ship is sailing in the right direction.
Was it sarcasm? Because I won't tolerate any Jalen disrespect, especially after he was the best player on both sides last night
Great game from Jalen last night. Actually got 9 free throws (!). Still had a clumsy turnover in the 4th which needs cleaning up but carried the offensive load with a few defensive highlights. He might be a more mature player than Edwards who went full chucko mode last night vs Jalen. If you squint hard enough you can see something with Jalen/Amen/Sengun though it's still a bit clunky for my liking.
