And then FVV, Cam, Brooks, (Tari,Jabari , Tate, Jeff Green, Sengun, Adams, Landale, Zeller.....) Match ups?, hot hand?, etc..............Amen almost anywhere. at times........)....GO ROCKETS!!!! Future over present.?Here and now? New direction?
im open to different lineup every game to match the enemy. maybe also diff coaches to take over to keep the enemy coach on their toes
Unfortunately out of these five, Tari is definitely looking the most expendable. Injury issues are the main thing, but he also is turning into a black hole on offense and unless he’s putting the ball in the basket, he doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing on the fast break. That said, his energy is invaluable to us and in spurts he is the most disruptive player on the floor by far.
This spacing is completely no Bueno. It might look good for the regular season, but when a game slows down it will be ugly AF in half court. On top of that the perimeter ball handling sucks. FVV,Green,Amen,Jabari,Sengun is clearly our best 2 way group.
I say trade them all for the Top 3 picks this year and rebuild around Flagg, Harper and Bailey. Come at me!
My future Rockets dynasty lineup is Amen-JG4-Whitmore-(Jabari or Tari)-Sengun but I accept Amen-JG4-Tari-Jabari-Sengun and Small-Ball lineup of Amen-JG4-Cam Whitmore-Tari-Jabari ___________ Amen & Tari (Terror Twins) deflect the ball and JG4 and Cam Whitmore scoop up the ball and fast break Phi-Slamma-Jamma style
I still think Tari will end up being the odd man out if we don’t make a major trade. An Amen / Green / Bari / Sengun core is versatile and complementary, and it shouldn’t be hard to retain all four. Just add shooting around them and you’re good to go. I wouldn’t be surprised this offseason if Tari is used as the main piece in a trade towards a player who complements those four.
Honestly outside of Sengun/Amen/Green give me the 2 best 3&D players we got at PG and PF. That's Sengun Jabari Amen Green FVV (39.5% on high volume catch and shoot) Would love Tari but having Sengun/Amen/Tari on the floor is a death sentence for anyone who wants to drive to the basket.
Jabari should start over Tari. They are probably taking it easy with him as he just got back. Tari as an energy player off the bench is best. I really want Jabari to start, he takes a lot of rebounding and defensive pressure off of Sengun. And he's a good 3 point shooter, too. But Fred needs to start so who does that push out? It's probably Dillon and he's not going to like it. No, now I think it's back to our regular rotation. Amen comes off the bench until the off-season. Maybe we change that in the playoffs? FVV, Green, Dillon, Jabari, Sengun has four okay 3 point shooters. You put in Amen and that goes down to three. This is the challenge of starting Amen and Sengun.
Amen/Green/Sengun is the best offensive trio of all used this season. Just give them Jabari and FVV and they will take care of it. Brooks may be a better shooter, but we need 1 guy with a serious wingspan, who the hell plays without even one of those at PF/C. Amen will never again in his career come off the bench, don't waste your time. Ime won't make himself look like a buffoon in front of the league. Amen is guarding the best scorer every night, generating assists on the lowest assist team and although his scoring volume is low his efficiency is high. He's factually our best rebounder and shot blocker on the entire roster. He's averaging 8 rebounds from the perimeter, that's unheard of. The less Amen plays, the less we win, it's that simple.
