They'd definitely get it. Pay the best two players and sign half ass players. Most players don't care about winning.

True, so nothing would really change from now except the teams with the best talent evaluators would win the most games/championships and if all players were on short term contracts the game product would be better because players would basically be playing for their next contract every season.

That's if I agree with your premise that players are going to get paid anyways, which I dont agree with. I do agree that most players only care about money, that's why Brady/Belichick were able to build a dynasty. Money wasn't everything to Brady, money was everything to Manning he alway to max money.

Pass. He was hurt for more than half the season and everyone the Texans signed to replace him played better than he did when he was here

It sure seems like, for a lot of fans, every player released is suddenly IDEAL for the Texans/Astros/Rockets to sign. I always err on the side of... they were released for a reason.

The Texans are not going to have much cap space - to waste any of it on Sheldon Rankins - unless it's just a ridiculously team-favorable deal - seems like mis-management.

Seems like in Meco’s system anyone he puts at DT will have a solid year.

Yeah but this yrs defense seemed faster and better. I would look in the draft, sign a OL in FA

I agree, even if they can't get Fatukasi back, that's a spot I'm not really worried about

I would sign a vet OL in FA and draft both an OL and DL within the 1st three rds of the draft. The DL is the strength of this draft and teams should always try to draft to the strengths of a draft IMHO.

TJ has been awfully quiet. Hope he has his nose to the grindstone. Last year he was on a media tour talking about how great he was. This year he needs to work on actually becoming great.

The one and only Mina Kimes on foxsports
"I can see a team like the Texans benefitting from making a move for Cooper Kupp. They have a foundation with Cj and a Nico.
If anything happens with Deebo and Kupp, it will be this week before the combine. "

She is speaking it to existence on every show. I'd welcome him but not my first option.
