I feel like Amen's breakout as our centerpiece makes Cam more valuable moving forward. We need legit scorers/shooters to surround Amen on O, and Cam's single-minded approach to getting buckets kind of works with him, assuming he continues to grow in playing within the offense. Plus he's also an overwhelming athlete. And even though he's had his bumps with maturity (he's only 20), Cam plays unafraid, and matches the tough-minded identity of Ime/Amen/Tari moving forward.
I think it opens up for him to be an elite microwave scorer and 6th man of the year type player. Amen was our fantastic 6th man and now is firmly a starter going forward im sure of. Whether its jabari or brooks to the bench does not matter to the aesthetics of being the "6th man" that Cam will look like with instant production per minute.
Shout out to Cam for continuing to get better as a player on offense and defense. I like the positive body language and mental focus
Cam is clearly getting better all the time. Money may require that we trade him, but he should only be traded for a star or superior younger role players.
IMO Cam is valuable regardless as he has football tackle body, mad hops and is also an accurate 3 pt shooter. His health supposed to be an issue but he hasn't missed a lot if any games. I wouldn't say he is thriving but playing under Udoka who doesn't baby him is doing wonders for his defense and overall development.
he should have played more down the stretch. he was putting a lot of pressure on the Knicks defense when Brooks & Jalen weren't.
Bad game for Cam defensively last night. He's had a few stinkers lately. Overall, I still think he's playing like a bench rotation player. For his age and where he was at the start of the seqason, I'm very happy with where his performance on the court is.
Cam taken as 1st pick for Las Vegas in Mock Expansion Draft. We're definitely going to have some quality talent exposed in an expansion situation, and I can see Cam putting up #s on a startup team.
If it's anything like the last Expansion Drafts, each team can protect 7 players; Amen Jalen Sengun Jabari Tari Cam Reed Everybody else is expendable
I think it's 8 protected players. And while I'm a big fan of Cam's he seems to be last of our Core-7 in terms of fitting Ime's long-term plans (he also might be the most disgruntled of the bunch). I can see FVV being ahead of him now, especially after our losing streak without him.
it isn’t likely for 3-4 years. If so, which expansion team would take a 30-something heavily paid player? An FVV-type is who you ‘expose’. And/or pre-deal by making a Cam-type available and executing a future draft swap, or some asset.
