yeah, Hunsicker just did everything but come out and say Munro is pitching.

Then if game 7 is needed you have a 1-2-3 punch of Clemens/Oswalt/Lidge.

It's official on Yahoo MLB...Munro vs. Morris for game 6, Clemens vs. Suppan for game 7 (if necessary).

I voted Munro and I'll stand by that however if you've been paying attention to the Yanks/Sox you know that there are two exhausted, emotionally spent, beat to hell pitching staffs. Closing out tomorrow would give us an advantage especially if that series keeps going. You saw the way the Cards jumped on us in a similar situation. Go with Munro, maybe we will get lucky. But every Astros fan needs to be rooting for the Sox today!

My keyboard says munro because Yahoo! Sports says so and... well, so does Garner.

Screw that! Game 7 for them is tomorrow night, so if it goes seven, we get bumped to the afternoon game again.

Go Yankees! We want prime time!

You know what...I don't care who Garner pitches...I will be rooting my ARSE off no matter what.

I know what I would do, but it is Phil's team, and I am sure the players know what is at stake, I will let them decide and root like hades.

If the Astros drop the hammer like they did to the Braves in Game 5 it doesn't matter who pitches. :D

If Munro can some how pull out a win in game 6, we will have our 2 Aces for game 1 and 2 in the WORLD SERIES! Even if he losses we will have the ROCKET on full rest ready to do what he does best in gam 7 of the NLCS. Pitching Munro just makes more sense.

That is what I was rooting for the past couple days, but freakin Rivera made it look like that is not going to happen.

It looks like there is an extremely good chance tonights game gets rained out so we will more than likely be playing at 3:00 CT when I am stuck in the middle of work here on the West Coast ... ARGH!!!

    Munro is the better choice.

If the stros win, we got our top three guys for games 1,2, & 3 of the world series. If we lose we got Clemens for game 7 and then Oswalt and Backe for games 1 & 2 of the world series.

Munro should start and our bats will carry us to the promise land!

I haven’t been this excited since 93-95 with the Roxs!

munro is the best choice. clemens on 3 days rest isnt that great. and if he loses, then you have to pitch oswalt in game 7 on 3 days rest. he didnt look that great either.

pitch munro, hope he gives up less that 5 runs and hope the astros bats are hot enough to win. if not, go to game 7 with a rested clemens

P.S. - i still dont think the astros are going to take this series :(

Is it just me or does this quote make absolutely no sense?

Hopefully Munro does win and we can save Roger for later.

I am conflicted but, I vote Munro. If Clemons were more rested, I would go with him. This is a tough one; if it becomes a slugfest, it will favor the Cards.

I think you have to put your best out there. So, whomever is better...put them out there. Of course, if we knew who was going to be better, then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I say leave it up to Roger. If he thinks he will be ready, then go with him. I would hate to be in a situation where Munro is put in this high pressure playoff situation that he has never been in only to crumble. Roger may be going on short rest but he has the experience of high pressure playoff baseball on his side.

If we lose this game, then there is going to be a lot of second guessing. I don't really want there to be a game 7 because then we are in a tough spot regardless of who pitches.

I'm hoping that our offense explodes and this is all a moot point. We should have that "put them away" mentality and momentum going in so I feel our offense should leave little doubt regardless of who pitches...kind of like how we finished off Atlanta.

Munro. When a young guy like Oswalt mentions the lingering affects of pitching with 3 days rest, after he got his 4 days, what does that tell you about 42 year old Roger... as tough as they come, but still human? You go with Munro and hope your bats blow up the Cards pitching. If it doesn't work out, you get Roger on his 4 days rest. That's how I'd go.

Yeah, I messed that up but you know what I mean.

Baseball Tonight was 500% saying start Munro. Totally against starting Clemens, so I hope Garner doesn't let us down.

I'm so glad he's going with Munro. I was terrified he'd start Clemens, which IMO, would be a huge mistake. We really messed up against Atlanta by starting Roger on short rest and it almost cost us that series and extended Oswalt out as well. So much upside to going with Pete. If we lose we still have Roger on full rest and Roy out of the pen for Game 7. If we win our rotation is set up perfectly for the Series.
