The gop voters and unfortunately everybody else will eventually feel the pain after experiencing medicaid and food stamps cut. But gop voters will just lapped up the gop propgranda of it being Democrats faults and still vote Republicans anyways.

Its a cycle. Anything gop does to fk over the lower class, just blame it on the Democrats and their communist/socialist policies. Usage of trigger words like dei, illegal, woke, Obama, Clinton, biden, kamala and Pelosi are quite effective in distracting them also

Medicaid and I don't agree with. Food stamps I do. You shouldn't be entitled to free food. Go work. There are people who busy their ass at multiple jobs. Liberals are ridiculous and out of touch with reality

 

Hopefully everyone agrees on food stamps. Nobody deserves that. Medicaid is different. The liberal side is why people are fed up.

 

What liberal side? Gop gameplan is to cut medicaid and food stamps to give a tax cut to the 1%. When their constituents and voters feel the impact, the GOP is going to blame everything on the Democrats even though this was their plan.

Everyone who can work should. Most of the people on Food Stamps aren't abusing the system. Nobody who relies on Food Stamps is living the good life and probably not the life they want to live. In addition food stamps provide relief to the elderly, and homeless that suffer from mental issues. The elderly aren't going to get jobs as easily as many others. The homeless person wandering the streets screaming at the driver of the car that murdered his pet cat when he was 7 years old isn't going to fit in at an office job, or working the cash register at Fruity Mart.

 

as others have mentioned, if you can work, work. just like how if you can stand for the pledge of allegiance, you should.

you wanna tell companies to hire disabled adults or elderlies? you wanna tell companies to hire severely special needs adults? mentally ill?

these programs are there for a reason.

37% of SNAP recipients are older adults (65+) or are disabled.
38% of SNAP recipients are in working families.

Young children, people who are disabled and can’t work, and seniors who are too old to work but do not have enough money for food - what should we do? Give them food assistance or let them go hungry?

What about those who work but still don’t make enough money for food?

People working 40+hrs/week at a John Deere plant still relied on food stamps because of their low pay.

There is disability assistance for people. There are available nursing homes for seniors in need of them. You can work and manage money. I've had to do it before. I get groceries are high and so is mostly everything but you have to have a budget. I don't agree with handing people stuff.

I see people abuse the system. Elderly, fine. If they don't have family in support them I have have no issues. I disagree people don't abuse it. They absolutely do. I know for a fact one of the people who lives in a nice house and works on our home is getting away with it. Now. He's good people. A lot of homeless people are there by self choice. A lot of them wouldn't go into shelters or stop doing drugs. That's on them. I agree on mental issues

I don’t agree. If someone is working a full time job making the minimum wage, then I don’t have a problem with them getting food stamps. In my opinion the minimum wage is not a livable wage, so I don’t have a problem with them getting a little help. And, some of those minimum wage jobs are very tough jobs.
