99% For folks that don't watch every live game, there is 2 major types that watch replays of games and condensed highlights. 1. Those that watch Jalen highlights. 2. Those that are trying to skip it .......get it over with. Deep down, that is the time you figure out if you like him or not.
The Rockets half court scoring efficiency is absolutely abysmal. We get a ton of offensive rebounds so it makes our offense look more respectable than it is. Jalen being the best perimeter scoring option on one of the worst offenses in the league isn't the flex some of you think it is.
Two ways to look at your statement 1) the half court offense stinks....therefore Jalen stinks. If Jalen was good the half court offense would be good. or 2) the half court offense stinks because the 3-pt shooting stinks, therefore no spacing.....Jalen struggles as a result. What angle are you coming from? #1 is neanderthal thinking....like hulk smash, hulk smash. #2 is higher basketball i.q. thinking....like 3-pt shooting good = greater spacing = more room for a facilitator/driver to maneuver and operate = facilitator gets all the way to rim or passes to open teammate easier. Is the dog wagging the tail, or the tail wagging the dog?
Houston Rockets is worse when Jalen plays, Houston Rockets is better when Jalen is off. To all the Jalen hypers, l believe this shuts up your stoopid hype. Promoting at best 6th or 7th player in a team as star player is foolish.. Jalen is an ordinary NBA player who can contribute from bench, if your starting 2 is Jalen, it means you are limited as a team. https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/player/4865/onoff#tab-team_efficiency
right n0w, at this time in their--0UT 0F THE c0re7-- y0ung nba careers -- c0ntending teams wud still ch00se Jalen -- cuz 0f HIS GRAVITY the best defenders 0f 0ther teams are always assigned t0 Jalen
NBA coaches playing against Houston make their game plans only on Sengun.. Thats why Sengun is the most 3rd doubled players in Whole NBA. All game plans are on him, because of his passing and post playmaking. I dont think they care about Jalen so much as much as they care about Sengun.
Obviously it's delusional insanity but it's good that he has the confidence in himself, Reed needs some of that.
Stats tell most of the picture, but they don't tell ALL of the picture otherwise Daryl Morey wouldnt have made a mess in Philly. In the case of Jalen, his scoring stats are actually just slightly worse than Devin Booker at the same age. Booker has 4% better TS, but Jalen has 3% better 3 pt. Of course the following year Devin Booker exploded and became an All Star, we will have to see if Jalen has the same "2nd gear" next year. But I havent seen any indication he doesnt have that level too. In fact his "heater" performances does show that he has that upper gear, he just needs to be more consistent which should come as he grows older. He will be fine in the long run. This reminds me of all the hate FVV and Jabari got and then when they both got injured Rockets collapsed. People hate on Jalen cuz he is always there, when things go wrong its always easy to blame him and you forget he is the only guy who hasnt missed any games. Imagine if he is out right now and your only options are Holiday, Tate and Sheppard lol. If you watch the games you can clearly see Jalen gets guarded by the Dillon Brooks of the opponent. Thats partly why his on/off are bad. When he sits down the guys guarding him sit down as well. Dillon Brooks is the same his numbers are low as well because when he sits down the star player of the opponent sits down too. Just think about it Jalen gets low plus minus even when he has a good game. We all know he is a good defender so he has good defense, good offense but still has less plus minus than 0/0/0 Reed Sheppard? Obviously other factors are at play. Of course Jalen still hasn't hit that "star" level we are expecting from a 2nd pick. But to act like he sucks or isnt even starter material is just a joke.
They're right! Ive never seen where the team's leading score didn't make it. However, I like the fact that he's not trying to start any discord
I’m a little bit sick and taking off of work and I was sitting here contemplating if I see Green as the primary perimeter option on a contending team. He is currently the primary perimeter option on a competitive team. he seems unable to slip away from some of his data “anchors” but the eye test shows a lot of improvement. Age is still in his favor. I think that we need to put better spacing around him and that he needs to raise his percentages up just a few points over the next season or two. I think his floor at this point is being one of the best sixth men in the league, but I still think he will make another jump.
