Jabari’s mix of height and skill just doesn’t come around easy. Event tho i love Tari, if im forced to just keep one…I would keep Jabari.
I like them both. But if I absolutely have to chose I'd keep Bari. Tari is too much of a health risk to be placed over Bari. I think Bari ends up being our PF for the next 10 years, as someone else mentioned.
why not trade jabari for a first go get rasheer fleming trade for rwiii keep and pay tari mid level money
You just described Naz Reed. Both 6'10 but Naz has greater wingspan + more explosive athlete with better handles + much better 3P%. Naz only 25 too.
Should not have to pick one over the other but gun to head ... Tari. "The Rockets create more putback opportunities than any modern NBA team ever. Amen and Tari are more athletic and active than every team they face. Sengun and Steve-O are stronger than any center who tries to keep them off the glass. They will out rebound your team, it’s inevitable."
Jabari has the advantage in defensive rating, but Tari has the advantage in box +/-, WS/48, and VORP. I guess to me it comes down to that Jabari plays more against starters and Tari plays more against bench players, so I voted Jabari. If Tari were starting and the numbers were the same, I would have said Tari.
Yep, Naz has the facial features of a 40 year old but is indeed in his 20s. Bari = 3rd pick Naz = Undrafted
Hope you are right. We should keep them both if possible, but my vote is still on Jabari. We saw what happened to our defense when Jabari went down. I've said it from the start of the season, Jabari's contributions at defense and rebounding are vastly underrated by fans. Fans love frenetic guys like Beverly and Tari, and will ignore their warts. Steady contributors like Jabari, don't get the same benefit of the doubt.
I've been banging the drum for Naz for a long while now, but not as a Jabari replacement. Jabari can play SF. I think Naz could even be a Sengun replacement, if Sengun was the trade piece that would help us get Giannis or JJJ. Amen, Jalen, Jabari, JJJ, Reid or Amen, Jalen, Jabari, Giannis, Reid. I also think we could get Reid for 30-35m a year. Targetting 40-50m guards like Booker, Trey, Lamello is a mistake. Of course just signing Reid to play as a PF and movng Jabari to SF would give you Amen, Jalen, Jabari, Reid, Sengun, which is pretty salty and actually improves your bench. I think Naz is the highest impact FA we could sign this off-season.
Breaking this up would be tragic + a step backwards in how Udoka envisions championship Rockets to be. Ime wants more dogs on the team, not less.
like naz offense a lot not sold on his defense and rebounding think he is going to get offered a huge deal from somebody this summer
You must not be watching Naz Reid defense with MIN, he's not that same kid who only plays offense anymore.
