I'll take thing that will NEVER HAPPEN for $1000 Alex: 25.Kelvin Banks Jr. OT Texas - Start at Left Guard 58.Grey Zabel OT North Dakota State - Flexible along the line, High IQ 89.Omarr Norman-Lott DT Tennessee 127.Terrance Ferguson TE Oregon
I agree with you that we need TWO quality IOL through the draft unless we sign a quality FA. We also need TWO WR. Kelvin Banks will be gone by the time it's our pick. The following 4 players would help us immensely and not break the bank.
Had to trade next year's first to the Miami and swapped this year's 127 for their 115 to get Kelvin. I couldn't land Grey as he goes too early and I chose Arroyo over Ferguson. I'm not sure why I picked Hampton
Arroyo is going to be a top 50-60 pick after the Combine. I actually could see him going to 40. In fact he would be a great pick for the Texans at 2-58 IMHO. No way he lasts until 4-115.
It's easier to blame it on a 'sophomore slump'. Truth is no offense was going to survive in that chaos. I don't work for the Texans but I can say Slowik didn't hand pick Green/Scruggs and Mason. Not blaming Nick either. But it's like him and Demeco didn't fully commit to the ZBS. It took years here. 2006-2008 was a struggle getting the pass and the run to look identical. January 30th, 2023 Nick: "What do you want your offense to be Cap?" Demeco: "Great day. Great day, baby! Love Schaub rolling out hitting Andre wide open. We can do that! Let's do the Kubiak offense! Arian Foster running the ball. Greeaat day" Nick: "I got you." Nick calls Bellichick: "Coach, what the hell is the Kubiak offense?" Signs Mason, keeps Green and drafts Scruggs. alas, time to move on.
CJ tried to make plays when there was nothing there. It was admirable on his part but a few too many times he only made things worse by not throwing the ball away. We gotta get him guys that can GET OPEN.
It appears he was a borderline draft pick anyway according to Draftbuzz. He remains a project and now a year behind. But there's always hope he responds well to this environment.
There will be 50 1st Rounders before the draft. And there will be 100 1st-2nd rounders and also 100 second day picks. But reality says there are only 32 in each round until we reach the bonus draft rounds.
The reality is most yrs there are only 15-17 guys worthy of 1st rd grades according to scouts. This year there supposedly are only 11-13 with 1st rd grades. But you're right, 32 players will be selected in the 1st rd.
Exactly, you probably get a 10 yr starter if you pick Booker/Jackson/Zabel. Even if CJ wants Egbuka I'll bet you if Booker is there at 1-26 Ryans tells Caserio to pick Booker. That guys a stud.
The other thing is that, hopefully, Tank will return at full strength for the 26' season. That's why I would use our first pick on an outstanding IOL.
