Thanks, I am well, just getting long in the tooth. Hope you are doing good as well. I sure hope you are right, but if we get a two we are still in the tournament and anything can happen. Just hope they stay healthy or in Sharp's case, get healthy.
Coogs stopped playing with a lot of time remaining. The starters had to come back in to finish. A win is a win.
Honestly is saw no fight in ASU. That comeback the announcers were excited to see was a few weird series. Miller called for a travel and turned the ball over, they finally scored back to back a few times on busted assignments against a few guys that rarely play when up by 20. Sun Devils didn't show anything. I'm sure coach will give the young guys a talk to be ready to play defense and don' t look like that again but come on they played 2 minutes in a blow out. Time for Iowa State. My wife is headed to Htown and my son got them tickets. I'll be watching. Go Coogs
The only comeback they had was after we took our starters out. Our second unit made those with money on the game a bit nervous. Mercy looked so bad. Looked totally outmatched out there. He showed so much promise earlier in the year. Guess that is what happens when you get little or no playing time. The most positive development from last night's game is that it appears Sharp has gotten his stroke back. Those four 3's he hit midway through the second half went a long way into putting the game out of reach. On the road if he had of missed those no telling what would have happened. He is so important to making our offense flow. Other thoughts; Tugler needs to stop with the silly fouls so he can stay in the game more. If we get the same type of tight whistle against better teams than we faced last night his foul trouble could really hurt us. TA was MIA for the most part in this one. Don't understand why he is not more aggressive. He has so much talent. If him and Tugler played up to their potential and were more consistently reliable we would probably not lose another game. Including running the table in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
Good to see Sharp throwing dagger 3s again. I'm an old PG (D3), so I'm PG-biased in how I assess teams' prospects. Tickled to see Milos's progress through the season; hoping to see more... His assist:turnover ratio is admirable. At times I'd like to see him quicker to shoot. He seems to pass on some decent, open, 3-ball opportunities. He's got a really nice stroke, and should be told his misses will serve as entry passes! Go get it, fellers!
Milos Uzan has been an absolute Godsend for us this year. He is not Shead and a lot of people were looking for a letdown but CKS hit it out of the park bringing in Uzan to tun the point. He is such a calming influence and his assist to turnover ratio is unreal. Have to admit if the ball is in somebody else's hands besides his I get a bit nervous. As you mentioned he is a little too unselfish at times. Would like to see him take his shot if it's there and continue going to the basket more. He has the size and the athleticism for it. Ideally if we can set screens to get Cryer and Sharp open they are much better suited for catch and shoot than they are ball handlers.
Watching Sampson on the sideline you would think his team was down by 30 instead of up by 18. Then you see something like this. How can you not love the guy? If I had a son who was a star hs basketball player, I'd send him wherever coach Sampson was coaching.
Might not be as big a brawl as anticipated. Curtis Jones, flu, and Kishon Gilbert, muscle strain, will not be suiting up for ISU. Kind of disappointed to be honest.
sucks for them lol lets take care of business and wrap up the big 12 title asap we go back to back reg season champs and we'll be tied for second all time with baylor, kstate, and iowa state. texas had 3 but whatever. kansas has 21
Yes and no. I think when healthy they might be but they arent right now and Tamin Lipsey has not been as good as he was last season.
