Yep I feel like Uzan is getting more comfortable, the floor General setting the pace scoring when he needs to and being more assertive the dude feels like he hasn't had a turnover in weeks. I think in the tournament when everybody starts clamping down he just needs to raise to the next level, thing I can say for sure is no one seems to ever rush him out of his game.
You know the sure fact that Sampson came here when this program was completely dead and is pulled off this feat is one of the greatest Lazarus events in all of sports. Houston was very fortunate to get him and more importantly to get him to stay because this place sadly had turned into one of the worst in the nation. I don't care if he ever wins a national championship I sure as hell hope he does but that man deserves every bit of Praise he gets for helping my University. Sadly lots of people are sleeping on what an amazing job he's actually done.
Hard core fans certainly are not but if you read the comments you'll see plenty of "fans" saying he needs to be better, he will never win it all, should be fired, etc. Most only loud after a loss but they have had so few losses so they keep it tame.
That's absolutely ridiculous. Those aren't our fans. If they can't appreciate what Sampson has brought to this program then they aren't fans. He's completely turned the program around. He might not win it all (although we have a good chance) but it's great to be in the conversation every year
Marquee in right outside of Rice village used to have the best. They'd only give you two because after that you're done
The only reason to go there was for the Teas, and the target rich environment. And I lived 2 blocks down the street.,
Very true. They never had much of a crowd. We used to go right down the Street and hit the Village afterwards. Bronx Bar was good for a little while. I really liked that area in general. Was good for meeting girls until I got married
I lived on Nottingham. It was brilliant. I remember Bronx Bar being douche central, I was more of a Gingerman guy, darts at Baker Street
Nice. We used to shoot darts at Baker Street too. Right in the back when you walked in from the parking garage. Gingerman was solid. Bronx wasn't that bad imo. It was super small though.
Houston beats one of the best teams in the country on their home court and drops in the standings. Ridiculous.
I think we move back up to #5 this week. We will know in a couple of hours. That loss early in the season against SDSU still haunts us. Both in ranking and in tournament seeding.
I don't care if we get a 1 seed or not. Just for all thing pure and sacred, lets be healthier than last couple of seasons.
Arizona State tonight. All hands on deck. Don't look past anyone. I still think we could snag a number one seed. Not likely, but possible. We are on the edge in case any of those ahead of us blink.
Hey Bud, Hope you are well. As to our Coogs, I'm guessing we're going to end up as a one. Seems to me there's a good chance we win out...maybe drop one...while I see some of these guys getting beat up late and in their Tournaments..
Marquis II before the remodel when you could blast heaters inside was the spot. Also use to have many late late nights at Hans Bierhaus getting into all sorts of trouble. Brian O'Neils too for a match.
