Looks like most of Sampson's length was in his legs. Wemby seems to have much longer arms... And shorter legs which makes him more mobile/fluid.
Hahaha, at the memory of Danny Schayes getting roasted by Sampson. Good times. Half of those highlights were against the nuggets.
People in this thread have been masturbating to the thought of Wembanyama getting hurt for almost 2 years now. Lol.
1.5 seasons in, Wemby has already played in as many games as Embiid in his first 5 years. By season's end he'll have played twice as many games in 2 years than Holmgren in 3 years. It seems your seething hate for Wemby is only giving him more durability ;]
No. I don't care about Embiid or Holmgren wither. I'm a Rockets fan. I just don't like him and think he's going to get hurt
I was pretty outspoken about Wemby being overhyped, but once he developed that 3 pt shot, I have to admit I was wrong. If he stays healthy is 100% a HOF. Still can't stand the arrogant ass and his attitude about Houston. I also hate the NBA for genuflecting to his desire.
Since lebron, there have been in my mind, at the time they were drafted, 3 guys who health permitting were undeniable HOF locks. Embiid, Luka, Wemby. Even without 3s, his floor was basically a better offensive Rudy, and Rudy will be a HOF easily.
It seems absurd to look at it this way today, but when KD was drafted he very much felt like a tweener. Not physical enough to play down low, and not enough ball handling skills/quickness to play on the perimeter. I figured he would be a good scorer, but a bit of a square peg to be an elite player. Of course not long after he got in the league being a tweener (switchable) became an immensely valuable trait. I do agree on AD, his likelihood for all star level player felt like a lock, probably more than any player prior to Wemby. I even had more doubt about LeBron than AD in that regard.
