I wanna see how the spin this How they justify this If all those people said. . . F OFF!!!! You wanna bring us back and then fire us later!?!??!!?!? Rocket River
Yep, thats the entire Trump/republican goal and always has been. Anything the can do to further the divide between rich and poor they will do. They want poor people as poor and helpless as they can get them, and they want to eliminate all tools for social mobility to help them stop being poor. Welfare, Medicaid, free school lunches, hell they would eliminate public schools entirely if they could. Republicans aren't so much racists anymore they are classists, they've just convinced stupid poor white people that they are "on their side". Your little Cletus won't suffer like poor minorities.
Ironically that is the end state of the tech bro billionaire coup. Gutting all labor jobs with AI and telling people if you don't want to die in this new economy you should "learn to code." The irony of this statement coming from you is just hilarious dude. It takes extreme levels of lacking self awareness of what political ideology you constantly defend to produce this level of irony.
In the new tech bro billionaire economy, your humanity and basic civil rights vanish the moment said tech bros can't profit off your personal data.
Yeah I would say it’s more of a desire for a Caste System than a slave/master system. I want the benefits of a lower class to mow my lawn, and cook my food but I don’t want to see you, and have to interact with you. In restaurants we see this blatantly where in upscale white communities we would rather hire a blonde pretty 16 year old girl to be our server while the people with actual culinary skill are back in the back hidden. This is why illegal immigration isn’t something Republicans really want to solve. They benefit from it just as much as woke libs if not more in their communities and local economies. They just know their voting base doesn’t want to see them. Just see their good product at a cheap cost. It’s exploitive at the very best and just overall a very selfish culture we have. But we all benefit from it. The one thing I try to do is A. Learn Espanol, and talk to the people in your lives that help you as real people. Ask them about their kids. Treat them as equal and not second class workers. Meanwhile from a government standpoint I do think we need an immigration overhaul that makes the process easy and safe. We could easily offset costs by collecting taxes immigrants would be happy to pay if they were treated with dignity and given a clear path to citizenship.
This is the things that lead to guillotines Seriously . . . . . here is the thing Trump and Elon don't realize .. they are BREAKING PEOPLE and it ain't the democrats/liberals/etc It's there fellow republicans . .. the"fringe" group they love so much they think they cannot do any wrong in those people's eyes to an extent . .. they maybe right . .. THOSE PEOPLE ARE BENDING AND TWISTING to fit the paradigm but WHEN THEY BREAK . . THEY WILL BE BROKEN . . and there will be no coming back When they decide they have stood all they can stand and they cannot stands no more There will be a shooting war. . . .a Civil war within the Republican Party The Poors versus the Riches. . . . Trust they will wake up . . .and they will be ANGRY Demos/Liberals/etc too soft to fight but Angry Republicans. . .yea they will shoot Rocket River
The January 6th rioters scared the Republicans in Congress way more than Democrats for a reason. Yes.... they wanted to kill Pelosi at that moment, and thought Ted Cruz was "one of them." However people capable of that are capable of going even harder at people they feel BETRAYED them, and used them once they see the betrayal clear as day. Yes they hate Democrats right now, but if the light bulb ever does go off(and it maybe never will) I suspect January 6th will look like a warm up act. That being said, I do think that most MAGA supporters now enjoy the high they get from the fantasy dopamine dump they get from Trump, and they understand they are paying for it as willing transactional customers. Many of them know they are giving up their freedoms, and financial benefits in order to get that fix they need to feel self worth. Keep in mind the Luigi Magioni thing.... yeah that wasn't just crazy Democrats lionizing that guy. There was ALOT of MAGA voters who thought what he did was pretty awesome too. I think the Republicans, and these wealthy elites out for the grift right now really are playing with fire.
If this administration wants to reduce the Fed work force, that's fine, but do they need to be so wreckless about it. https://apnews.com/article/doge-faa...2SRWD0mOYHOtCTVRGE_aem_cn2PK_0PbVHPPAyj3rRYzg Doesn't this outrage you @SuraGotMadHops @Salvy etc? I mean you guys are all about national security so surely you should be critical of the administration for stupid firings like these. You want to get rid of some of the useless positions that are just government fat, by all means do it, but at least be less wreckless about it and don't look like such amateurs. I think the problem with Musk and his young fanboys is that they think they can treat the federal government like a big company and just do away with ****, even if it ****s up your bottom line in the short term, however, with the government the bottom line may mean an issue with National Security, so I would think you guys would be annoyed by this, but instead y'all just act like fanboys because the Trump Administration is "doing something".
None of us know exactly how critical the people let go were for those specific projects. "I was working on [x]" doesn't mean you are critical for it. Look at a legal bill from a large law firm, you will have 10 associates who were "working on" their biggest file, but more than likely only 2 needed to be on it. I choose to trust the folks in charge that they know who to cut and who not to cut.
Alright alright, so you are going to defend the stupidness of this. So I'm guessing you aren't as concerned about national security, because Elon and Donnie told you it's okay by their actions, correct? How about this blunder? https://www.usnews.com/news/world/a...s-than-50-purged-from-nuclear-security-office I mean it's pretty stupid to be wreckless like this? You want to fire DEI HR department, fine, do it, but don't be compromising our national security due to lack of understanding of who you are laying off.
325 cuts out of 2000 employees? That's not like a major gut job. It'll be fine. As far as layoff then rescinding layoffs, if true then I'll agree that comes off as sloppy. But overall, I am happy with the dismantling of government waste from all places.
Would you be happy if they replace lets say free at the point of service NOAA weather data that many corporations and individuals use that now will be used for a profit incentive to maximize value of capital owners? Explain how this will be cheaper for you? We are replacing functions that he government has done with profit motive. That means if there wasn't a profit on delivering packages to rural isolated communities, they don't get that service because it isn't profitable. Seems like a efficient way to run services that are required for basic society to function. If I'm a capital owner I'm locking my chops at all these new inelastic demand functions that now private owners have access to. The reason tech bro billionaires want to own government functions is that they realized that government functions are far more in demand for the average person than AI in your laundry machine. They want to own essential services. Essential services means the capital owners has all the leverage over the consumer.
I'm very focused on issues that compromise national security, so thank for just stating the obvious and how sloppy this is. I know you are fine with reducing the work force, but I don't want to see you defend your boys when they do something dumb like compromise our security.
But we need to remove ourselves from the narrative that there is any desire to "save costs" here. People need to understand this is all about the government having all these services that are essential and have essentially inelastic demand and private capital owners wanting ownership of all these services that have near inelastic demand because they want easy money, easy wealth accumulation or at least easier wealth accumulation.
I will refer you to my earlier posts that just because cuts are being made to a project does not automatically mean the folks cut are critical to that project. You are making an assumption that people cut from a project that was related to national security compromises national security. If their position was a waste of manpower then it wouldn't compromise the overall objective of that project. You are not qualified to know whether the cuts made affect the objective of the national security project at hand, and neither am I. I choose to trust, you may choose not to...it's your prerogative.
I don't argue about saving costs. If the administration and Trump fanboys really wanted to save costs, then they would take a serious look at the military budget and how we can stop the wasteful spending that happens in that department. Currently, they are reducing the workforce and it's only going to be a drop in the bucket compared to what we spend, so it really doesn't do anything. I see Trump supporters praising the administration because they are "doing something", so Trump does very well in regards to optics. He knows how to seem like he is doing something when he really isn't doing much. Very smart of him since people are just thirsty for conservative propaganda regarding how much better the US government is functioning now that a libtard has been booted from office. And well, I don't mind getting rid of government fat. I work on the public side of things and I've seen how red tape can make a process so much longer than it needs to be and sometimes that red tape is people getting in the way of things that are common sense. I don't advocate to stupidly reduce the work force the way it is currently being done, but I think it would be nice to get rid of positions that don't need to exist. Now I'm too lazy how we go about getting that accomplished, so I guess we have the Musk/Trump extreme side of things of just laying off people for the sake of it, but I hope there is an effort to better serve the public with less people getting in the way of decision making.
