There's actually a really interesting stat called "points" that tells you who won the game. So even to determine who won the game you still have to look at stats. Nobody is using the eye test to determine who won the game.
This is why you trade draft picks for real rotational players when you need to upgrade the roster, something that Stone doesn't understand at all.
No! It's because coaches can careless about STATS or how the game was played. Stats and player appeal is for fans. Why you think coaches tell players to continue to shoot, even though they may be in a slump? Because it's about the victory, not the stats. Yet a fan will look at the Box Scores and say player "X" was inefficient, when the ULTIMATE goal is to get the "W". Kelvin Sampson, who I consider an all time great, will tell you that he doesn't care if a player is 1 - 20 from the field, as long as he's playing good DEFENSE. Only fans care about efficiency at the end of the day.
Well the more efficient team wins every time so I think any coach that cares about winning definitely cares about efficiency
Our roster this season and last is the same, only difference is reed. We have been winning way more with reed than last season without him, that’s why reed is so great. REED WINS GAMES.
I don't even like stats like that, man. I'm not here to defend stats. I'm against making stuff up. No one asked you how much Ware averaged, you decided to make **** up by yourself and say he was 20/10/2. Your argument could've been made without making stuff up.
i don't really understand the point of this thread, op made a similar one regarding reed potential bust status https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/reed-looking-more-more-like-a-bust.325004/
Can we recover from bad threads started for no reason other than saying the same thing about a draft pick that's been talked about in multiple threads?
If the question is when will we recover from this win losing streak the answer is when FVV gets back. Reed and his few minutes have little impact on that.
I wish I had the self-confidence to make up anything I wanted to and believe it to be true forevermore
Those guys have bigger roles on those teams. Reed joined a team already loaded in his position. There is a difference. I have said the same the past 4 years. Some people here want rookies to be complete products the first season they join the team. You need patience.
Only one or two of the guys drafted after Reed would be playing minutes on this team. Clingan and Ware. Reed was the perceived best player available and he might still pan out to be the best player in the draft if he can ever get comfortable. Further more, from a fit perspective, Reed is still exactly what this team needs. Spacing.
