Doesn't O's typically comment on the stuff he posts? I'll admit that if it's not sports related I typically don't read tweets. That just caught my attention because it was so long and I really dislike all the "woke" stuff. I like to believe that the vast majority of people treat people as equals and don't need someone telling them that.
I like ATW. Think he's a good poster and person. I don't think that he views all Muslims as bad as they certainly aren't. Maybe his views are on the extremists which holds true for any religious party.
Maybe you should make a poll about it. The last article you posted which I personally found interesting was on Humphrey's Executor.
And it's fine. People like different things. I scratch my itch by understanding what posters think. And tweets and op-eds are the opinions of strangers I don't gave a fig about, so it's all garbage to me. I found it ironic that Rocket River, who rarely imports opinions from elsewhere as far as I can remember, would be the one reproached for this behavior when its something that is practiced here all the time.
Oh for sure. And he makes many valid points within those parameters is fine. There are things that he does that are completely out of it though. I can think of 3 right off hand but there is no use in mentioning them because it won’t change anything.
It depends on when, where, and who you ask. What the average person in the United States calls a liberal now is radically different than what someone in the American Colonies or France in the 1750s would call a liberal. Those old liberals would be called libertarians now. Of course, the French libertarians of the 1800s would now be called socialists. The point is, language is fluid. To me, being liberal means limiting the power of the government to control the people. Like when you try to guess something, the conservative estimate is more constrained, while the liberal estimate is wider. It has come to a strange place, where now liberal and illiberal are synonyms instead of antonyms in modern US political discourse.
No. You try to label anyone who doesn't agree with liberal stuff MAGA. That's all you guys do. Sorry., just because we disagree with people dressing their children up as women, putting men in woman's restrooms and the transgender stuff it doesn't make us MAGA.
Show me where I called anyone who is against transgenderism MAGA. What I have said is that transgenderism is a distraction issue used to get MAGA people fired up
Lol. Piece was actually critical of policing the internet. Only you can spin it 180 degrees to try to push your agenda. You guys are straight outta 1984.
Sweet Lou is trolling for engagement, but his statement is true. The fringe truly believe they are mainstream.
I consider your posts to be drivel, and others do too. One of the many reasons I'm glad ATW left. Maybe you can join him.
I agree with a decent amount of the points of what it means to be a liberal. To me, it comes down to very simple stuff.... I care about this country, I want to see it succeed and I believe the Democrats are much less corrupt overall than the Republicans. For every Eric Adams, there's 5-10 more Republicans that are just corrupt pieces of ****. The Democrats aren't perfect, but ever since I voted for George Bush in 2001, I vowed never again to vote for a Republican. They just don't align with what I believe. I also believe in science, and that's something the right has a very difficult time believing in which is a real shame. Again, Democrats, not the greatest party in the world but the contrast has never been more clear to me in terms of who I'll cast my vote for. Now, if the Democrats ever get like the Republicans, then sure I'll have to reconsider my votes for them. I don't see that happening anytime soon, though. Plus, I love fighting a good fight against all of the conservative posters here, especially those who just spew bullshit all day in attempts to skew the truth.
