OG's def didnt want to lose to the rising stars. Fear was a great motivator to play harder. imagine if the rising stars made it to the championship game! that would have been great for competition, but would have destroyed the all star game mythos.
Clearly the league pushing their fragile skinny "star" over everything..... Here they come trying to make him the face of the league instead of letting the best players compete and the people decide who the best player is...
I wish Sengun would have played more like its the only game for him to have fun with his wacky passes instead of him trying to do a behind the back between the legs pass in a 3 point game with 3 minutes left to go...
When you’re the boss the blame lies with you. Works the same way for every organization. Instead of incentivizing guys with hundreds of millions of dollars he should punish lack of effort by taking away these guys ability to participate. If you don’t play hard then you won’t be asked back the following year and you’re ineligible to be recognized as an all star.
They wasted hours on bs, its not hard to make this format somewhat competent... Two teams play to 40, winner advances no timeouts.... The next two teams play to 40 advance no timeouts... Half time show or w/e... The losers play for the 3rd place, commercials and then the winners play for 2nd and 1st.... Done, would have ended over an hour ago.... It still would have sucked anyways...
