The problem is the game on Sunday has been such pathetic, non-competitive trash for so many years because the All-Stars themselves are not living up to playing on Sunday. Because of that, the league is taking desperate measures to stir up interest and make it relevant again. Draymond needs to offer straight talk to the players who have disgraced the Sunday game their entire careers.
Kind of crappy to decide you won't play so late so now they can't get a replacement. Sabonis, Booker, Powell, that really screwed them.
That's the whole point. The gleaguers were brought in to force the rising stars to play hard enough not to get embarrassed. And the rising stars are being brought in to force the all stars to play just hard enough not to get embarrassed. I see Wemby is going to the lebron school of "make it seem like you're doing smart things in the loudest way possible"
I actually agree. Problem is, the all-stars turned the game into a joke and it lost any prestige it used to have. If they gave even half a sh|t, the NBA wouldn't feel the need to change the format. They made their bed.

great entertainment, but I feel sorry for the ones who won't get a full all star game experience. I would be pissed.
