Thanks for the info This isn't the draft to draft a WR in the 1st unless Egbuka falls and it's doubtful that happens.
Another nugget I forgot - Evans was a HS QB just like Tyler Warren. Both guys are only a few years into the role, but also have QB knowledge behind their positional play. Evans was ND’s guy in 2023 taking the snaps for the Tush Push play too given his size and QB experience.
Unless we trade Schultz or Stover I don’t believe that TE is on the radar for this draft, particularly in the first 4 rounds. Although I believe we need an upgrade at that position but we have dire needs at WR & IOL.
That would solve a lot of issues. Give me another kick butt and take names guy at RG and lets roll. I bet they sign one in FA and draft another within the 1st three rds.
This is just a 4 round BPA draft in PFS simulator: What would we do with this? 25. Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State 58. Jalen Milroe QB Alabama 89. Jalen Royals WR Utah State 127. Terrance Ferguson TE Oregon
Secondary, but a stud DT could take this defense to a whole new level. Imagine getting a Chris Jones or DeFoerst Buckner to put between WA, Hunter, next to Settle. Really good stuff.
The Texans draft this year is super unpredictable. Texans have outstanding starters at CB and DE, but the dropoff from talent of the starters is huge. I can see the Texans selecting CB Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame), DE Shamon Stewart (Texas A&M), or DE Jalon Walker (Georgia). And then if TE Tyler Warren (Penn State) is there you have to select him because he's going to be a Pro bowler. The most pressing position is Guard and DT, but the draft is deep at those positions and you can select starters in rounds 2-3.
Tory Horton is a WR out of Colorado State that I could see us taking in the 3rd/4th round. Good looking player!
Duuuuude! I was thinking this too! Too Too is good at swarm but struggles in coverage and tackling sometimes, Aziz is injured, suspended, or missing tackles, who knows what is going on with Christian Harris. And then the drop in talent is huge.
The good news is that I don't believe there is a glaring defensive need, unlike what we have at WR, the IOL, and to a lesser extent TE and possibly a RB to help Mixon with some carries.
