As a nationally televised series of events, All-Star weekend has gone so far off the rails, I don't think it is salvageable. My guess is it still remains a very big deal to host city fans because of the local events. I also assume the players that attend have a lot of fun.
I actually think the all star game might be more competitive, not based on the format, but based on the specific way they picked the teams. I feel like there's a chance the young guys or the global team actually come out and play hard to show up the American "OG" stars. I still might not watch but I'm saying there's a chance it's better.
