I think CJ put tests such as the S2 out of business.

Good question. It's difficult for me to answer intelligently due to cap-space considerations.

PFF ranked our OL #31 last season. Nick better figure it out or he may be looking for employment in a couple years.

Nate Tice and Bromani Jones were talking about olinemen and what makes a tackle move to guard and body types for both. Nate, whose dad was a Oline coach and TE, said Kelvin Banks Jr. is guard. Just looking at him immediately 100% Guard. It might be why he’s slipping a bit in mock drafts. Anyway if he falls to us we should seriously consider it and the move to guard.

He was also the leader of the entire WR room according to the coaches.

I love this play b/c QB is able to get out of the pocket for an easier throw.

I like Egbuka but I'm scared of drafting a guy like this after the Metchie experience. The same things that are being said about Egbuka were said about Metchie.

I like him as a day two pick for a Patriots era Wes Walker roll. Dude was always getting open for Miami. Everytime I thought the Hurricanes were gonna get beat he would get open for a drive extending catch or TD.

He would be our next impact Latino after Arian Foster left.
There was Lopez the DT but he was preseason fodder.

I'm assuming Warren is the top TE in the draft and a physically imposing (speaking casually)* type of player. I think the Texans would need to trade up and jump the Colts to get him, which likely means moving to pick 13 or better, and I don't see that happening. He might not even last that long.

Of the TEs that are left, who is the most physical? A player that both Demeco and Caley would love? Or is that TE even in the draft.

    Mitchell Evans in day two.
-From the Sister program Notre Dame. Tight End U.
-Listed as a 1st round selection on every mock prior to injury.
    -Knee injury in 2023, check.
-Plays with his hair on fire.

The only box he doesn't check is that Riley Leonard was named Captain over him.

He's a good player. He's not Brock Bowers.

Agree he's definitely on the short list. As a big ND fan myself, I've watched his whole career and while he's not the same type as Michael Mayer, he's equally versatile. He's a willing blocker for sure after what we saw from ND this year in approach with Jeremiyah Love, Leonard, and Price. While he wasn't a captain, that was a team-first sort of mentality that would likely bode well in the Texans' locker room.

Another name to add to that list is Luke Lachey. Both of these guys would be after the first round though in the draft. I think the first only has the possibility of seeing Warren, Loveland, and Fannin picked and quite possibly might only see Warren go.

I know we routinely see ourselves mocked at OL or DL early, but if a WR we love falls to us in the 1st and then we turn around in the 2nd and land Loveland or Fannin, we will suddenly be in a much better position on offense overnight.

In other words, I’m asking who the best of the remaining TEs is and if they’re good enough to justify being picked ahead of others at 25, or if there’s anyone later in the draft, as conquistador#11 mentioned.
