I'm not necessarily saying I agree with him. In fact I'll come right out from the start and say I don't.

Inevitably someone, somewhere in this thread will accuse me of being another Liberal confusing net worth with liquidity again. I know Elon Musk can't go to the bank to withdraw $250 billion or whatever it is.

For the sake of this argument I'll also just say i agree billionaires are "helpful" by leaving their net worth in the stock market, therefore helping our 401k and stock accounts. Fine.

But if someone has been hoarding, I don't know, newspapers and magazines, to the point it's taking up entire rooms of a home, we can all agree the person has a serious mental health condition.

We've all probably seen the TV show hoarders. Sure some of that is probably faked or exaggerated, but I know for a fact hoarding is real.

My point is why isn't obscene wealth considered a mental health condition? When is enough, enough?

Do you think extreme greed could be considered a mental illness?

Some of you might actually believe Elon Musk cares about the waste and fraud in the system. Maybe to a point he does, but how can you not see his ulterior motive? It's always been about tax cuts.

He might literally be mentally sick, and some of you are cheering him on.

    Just a thought.

The Luigi Maggioni thing is likely to not be a one off thing, and for a reason. Burr is right that these billionaire Pigs have overplayed their hand and people are pissed at how they are destroying our country and people’s lives just because having a few billion isn’t enough. They always want more and more while the 99% can barely get by today.

These guys better build themselves some pretty high walls because people agree with Burr here for sure.

I would say though that half of our population that votes for Trump (who is now one of them or at least their attack dog) do want the product they are selling which is hatred of other Americans in exchange of their freedoms. So we can’t just blame the broligarchs because at least 77 million Americans were willing consumers of the BS snake oil they are selling. They know they are trading their wellbeing and rights for the feeling of “owning libs” and still did it.

So we can’t let Americans off the hook and only blame the billionaires who rob us blind tell us to blame each other… the half of Americans thanks them for it and ask them to rob them again.

This is the actual definition of meme: an idea that spreads rapidly within a culture. Once you have actors like Luigi who express the end result, copycats will follow and outspoken people will extol the idea.

Idk (or care) who Bill Burr is. There are money-related mental disorders, so I won't say it's not in play. But, my intuition re Musk and Trump is that it is more straightforward narcissism. Not that they wouldn't take the tax cuts and advantageous access to policymaking for personal benefit, but I think they think they know better than the rest of us how to order society and will do so even against our will. In their minds, we'll thank them later and they will go down in history as great heroes for transforming America for the better. For Trump especially, who has little time left with his money, the reward is to achieve a sort of immortality beyond death by being remembered and even lionized. He will definitely be remembered. Lionization might be short-lived but he'll probably be dead before the consensus on his villainy is cemented, so he can die happy.

The billionaire class will always look after their own interests. EVERYONE should do that, but the problem is that these billionaires realize that you people need to be controlled so you don't get a piece of their pie, they want all the money to themselves and don't want to share with you or other billionaires. They just want more. The general populace thinks they give one crap about your interests, you are dumb. You should care about getting yours and for your children. Getting divided by silly things is a distraction while they steal in the background..... keep arguing about Gulf of America/Mexico.

Elon Musk did not create PayPal and he did not even start Tesla. He was an investor and took more and more control. He is NO genius, none of these guys are geniuses. The really smart folks never get out of their own world and see risk everywhere and are limited by their own intelligence. These guys are just ruthless greedy power hungry pigs.

Wake up folks and stand up for your own interests.
