Oh you mean The Chosen One? Who was outplayed by Podziemski? We're 2-5 with him as our starting PG. But did you see that shot he hit in Boston!!!

I think the same, they did their job got it back to a competitive game, Brooks, Sengun and Green would of had a good rest.

23 games in 44 days if I'm counting right. Brutality.

Get this all-star break in. Get the squad back to full health. Make the playoff push.

I'll see you folks back in a week. Be safe, be warm, be well, buy your old lady a flower GO ROCKETS. I got 99 problems but the young Rockets being 34-21 and 4th seed in the West ain't one.

Absolutely agree...we are better with FVV because he gives us some semblance of distribution which we don't get otherwise. My only difference is I don't think we need a back up PG...we need a STARTING PG. I don't think FVV is our answer today or tomorrow. He's too small to go inside...game in and game out his outside shot is not that good, and he don't set the woods on fire in assists. JMO

o_O Think the Nate is short for the Nathan in Jeenathan.

    NBA bio:
    Personal info
"Williams’ full first name is Jeenathan, but he goes by Nate… he spent his senior season of high school at Prolific Prep where Jalen Green would later finish his high school career."

I felt like Amen was a bit tentative offensively. Definitely wasn't attacking the rim with purpose like we've come to expect from him. And he's stopped cutting, when he was the only one who was able to use Alpe to get himself easy buckets.

Turnovers come natural to both of them. It's one thing they are both consistently good at.

I'm normally with you Westend but Alpi dogged it quite a bit tonight....we could have had the 5 best players in the NBA and, if they gave the effort our starters gave tonight, it wouldn't have mattered. It was ABYSMAL...I'd have more respect if they just went to Ime and said I can't go tonight because they damn sure didn't. You can't dog it the entire game and expect to be in the game at the end with that lack of effort.

When I said next man up I didn’t mean the whole damn bench taking over lol

none the less we gave them a run for their money and I’m proud of the our guys

also liked how Ime stuck with them to finish the game.

But Curry closes it out yet again

Playing with EFFORT is really all you can ask. Agree with the early vacay look from Jalen and Alpi.

For Ime to match his starters effort he'd have had to be on the dumper the entire game.

Jalen IS inconsistent, but he’s trending up. That’s all we can ask for when he’s the one guy on our squad who plays through everything, injuries, sickness, whatever. I strongly believe that he will be an all-star with us.

Alpi hasn’t played great these last few games coming back from injury, I also agree with that.

The “white privilege” thing is what I don’t really get. He earned his all-star berth, and the compliments that come with it, fair and square. Not because he’s white. I’M literally not even white, so it’s not like I have a horse in this particular race.

I'm not disagreeing that the effort wasn't there, but we've seen Alpe play badly for 3 quarters, then take us home in the 4th.

It was so obvious that the Stay Ready Crew was going to run out of gas, I can't help but feel we could have stolen that W if Ime showed some confidence in the starters instead of telling them that they were all terrible. (Except Jalen, he can **** off lol)

Ime might not be a great offensive coach but it's hard to run a successful offense when you have one of the worst shooting rosters in the NBA. Our all-star center is a really good overall player but somehow struggles to finish around the rim as well. Out leading scorer is inefficient and turnover prone. There's just a lot of limitations on this roster.

We really needed to add another competent offensive player at the deadline. Our struggling offense is more the fault of Rafael Stone than Udoka's. We are lost without Fred VanVleet.

I think Ime is trying to send a message that he needs to see at least effort or you aren't going to play. If it means this game is lost (probably weren't winning it anyway) to get the message across, I understand where he's coming from. But, you can't reward a lack of effort (I know you agree) that way. I should add that this isn't the first time this issue has reared it's head.Just my 2 cents.

Some of that I put on Ime.

When Jabari went out, there was really only one role change in the offense...Amen...

When Fred went down Instead of just inserting Holiday and letting him be the starter until Fred comes back, he's started Tate, Tari, Holiday and I think Jeff Green...

It's already bad enough being down two starters, but now you're rotating 4 other guys in and out of the starting lineup...

It's hard to get cohesiveness as a unit when you have these different players who play different ways in and out of the starting lineup...This means that Amen had to take on more ball handling and initiating duties instead of playing the role he was playing and thriving in before.

And then when he starts Tate, you have 3 non shooters on the court in Amen, Tate and Sengun. Of course the paint is going to be packed and Jalen is either going to drive into a swarm of defenders or shoot 1 million threes per game. Alpi won't have as much space to operate down low. When Amen cuts, there's an extra defender there sagging off Tate.

I think the biggest beneficiary of of Jabari and Fred coming back will be Sengun.
