I don't think you comprehended what I said lol. I said show me instances where he was in the clutch and he carried us to victory. Clutch points is any points within a certain time frame but that is hardly the same as carrying a team. Hitting one or two shots within a clutch time frame isn't my definition of carrying a team because a lot of our players do that. Read Mystik's post, thats what I was referring to.
He said he can't recall one either. I can't believe this is the hill you are going to die on. Show me the games and ill recant my statement
He was referring to Ant hitting three clutch 3pters against us. So the threshold is three? Be explicit in your criteria.
To be honest, if you feel like it's a waste of time, you don't have to engage. It's not like any of the posters here have a say in front office decision anyway. I only "defend" Jalen when I feel like it would still be fun to talk basketball with the other party, if you're not enjoying the back-and-forth on the forum, it's probably better to just take a break.
The Rockets are 17-10 in the clutch. If you determine Jalen and Sengun score the most points in the clutch why do you even need specific games? Cant you use your brain to realize Sengun and Jalen are carrying the team to victory all the time? Who you think is responsible for 17-10 record in the clutch other than the guys who score the most in the clutch? Why not use common sense?
Im not arguing with you anymore because you can't even look at your own stats. FVV 47 points, Amen 41 points and Brooks 37 points. Fvv is the only one even close to Jalen on field goal attempts at 45 to 59. Its more of a team effort rather than Jalen or Alperen carrying us and you know it. We will revisit this convo later, I hope this is the hill you die on. BTW Amen has 22 field goals, one third of what Jalen has but has scored 41 points to Jalens 69.
The hill you are dying on is Green never taking over a game in the fourth or OT. My claim is he has, not that he's Mr. Clutch. So your claim is more extremist. You understand this right? Just to make clear what premises we are arguing.
It's analysis like this that kidna shows your hand. Ya lets compare a dude who is in the dunker spot most of the time in clutch situations to a dude who attacks point of attack defenses.
Ok your evidence was sufficient for me. Lets hope he does it with more regularity. I concede that he does carry us in some games. But his percentages from Roso's stats don't look good on paper. Could be that teams are focusing on him as well.
That's pretty irrelevant to my point. You can't compare a dude who has to attack the point of attack defense in clutch situations to someone who does a more off ball role in the dunker spot or short roll screener
Its alarming to see that both our starting guards FVV and Jalen are shooting sub 30% from three in clutch minutes. But I understand your point and I hope Jalen has one of his highs after the ASB.
I like that we don't look lost anymore with FVV out and Amen looks more and more like a good POINT forward. DD
