He is 4 years younger than Durant.
All the other elite teams are set at Guards except Denver.
Where else would he prefer to contend with? Bucks. It's boring there.

Saying he thinks the earth is flat isn't something that is harmful. That's the result of a idiot fan obsessed with everything a player says or does. He is great at basketball and you shouldn't care what shape he thinks the world is. Baggage? Lol

The flat earth stuff just shows that he's dumb as hell, but that wasn't what I was referring to.

I quite enjoy the FO having such a clear strategy in place. This transparency makes it very easy to understand what they are doing. Whether one likes the strategy or not, every single decision makes sense in a broader picture.

My only (possibly naive) critique from the outside is that surely teams are aware of this strategy and can plan around it. SA likely didn't worry about Houston as a Fox bidder -- and if we had more credibly faked interest and even bidded for Fox, we could have made SA pay more for Fox.

I could be wrong. They might disagree in being called transparent, given last year's tedious Bridges talks and as well as this year's vague rumours with KD/Fox. They just seemed tired efforts that surely no other team paid much attention.

I see what you're saying, but my guess is the FO would actually prefer to not be perceived as trying to trade for Fox or other stars below their line.

The downside is you don't drive up the bidding for others, true. The upside is you don't damage your existing chemistry, and you potentially drive up the value/leverage around your young players.

"Rockets young players off the table for De'Aaron Fox" is a great message to put out there for Stone's future negotiating leverage.

I think the FO has been pursuing this PR agenda all season. To be clear, I think they'd happily move on from anyone other than Amen if one of the actual targets is available.

    No.

I have a theory Kyrie might be one of the reason for Mavs trading away Luka. Won't surprise me if Kyrie was in the owner's ear chatting up good reasons for trading Luka away and getting AD in return.
