A 37-year-old malcontent who demands the ball? No thanks.

Hopefully our interest is in getting him for a small amount of assets and getting a great deal on a rental, because otherwise I don't see the fit for a 37-year-old player who is about to retire on a team full of dudes in their early 20s who (as of right now) don't even have any playoff experience. If it's going to be like "all their picks back plus Jabari and Dillon", no thank you, move along.

Little doubt KD will be traded this summer. If he has a choice in the destination, my guess is it would be to a mature team.

Ya, something like this would be reasonable. Durant is still good but a shell of what he used to be, and is old as hell. I'd only be interested if the cost was basically nothing.

LOL on Minnesota. They can only get involved if it is a multi-team trade. Phoenix ain't trading for Gobert or Randall. Memphis has enough assets to get it done. Durant would probably want the Heat, but that wouldn't be ideal for the Suns either. We will have the best offer of their own 25 pick and a later Rocket or the 29 Phoenix pick and FVV and maybe Dillon. That may be too much, but it would still leave us with the ability to round out the roster with good players. Roster after trade: Amen, Jalen, Durant, Jabari, Sengun. Bench Reed, Cam, Tari, Landale or re-signed Adams. Still plenty of flexibility to land 3rd tier players like Grant, Reid, or Coby White.

Durant is the least ball dominant elite scorer ever. He's only attempting one shot more than Jalen Green.

You can plug him into literally every single roster and he won't hurt offensive cohesion.

If Durant is on the court, he is usually the best player on the court even at his age. Injury is the gamble, not his ability.

So the Rockets have no interest in a 36 yr old KD with 2 years left on his deal (assuming we just care about playoffs) but will have interest in a 37yr old KD with one year left? What is even the point of trading for him this summer if they weren't going to do it this trade deadline?

So, you would get rid of one of your Top 3 players for a 37yr old player who is on a team that is hanging on by a thread?

And you wonder why I disagree with most of your takes.

I wonder if this hot take from Chris A White is based on old information....and even then, there might have been a phone call at the trade deadline:

"So, what are you looking for to get KD?"
    "Return our picks...."
"Um, which we don't even know where they're going to land....."
    "....and Amen T--"

In before nothing ever happens. Stone meets and decides a Tesla cybertruck gift isn’t enough. Rockets tried.

No, i would absolutely not get rid of one of our top 3 players for an old guy like KD, that would be silly. I also don't wonder why you disagree, i know very well why you disagree.

FVV + 1 of their picks. Nothing more.
