Lol I'm trying to find even market reason for a light bulb manufacturer to spend the time and resources to manufacturer less efficient, more expensive to make bulbs that have less flexibility in utility as LEDs can do things like go through the entire color gumant.

LED's are $hit compared to incandescent in terms of longevity. They are also $hit for lighting above 4k because they can cause eye strain, the more expensive led lighting you would put in glass fixtures are up there in pricing because they do a great job of mimicking incandescent lighting below 3500k...... Its not a big deal but lets not act like incandescent does not have advantages over LED either....

 

While no one would want to go back to coax the same way no one would want to go back to CNN being an actual news source I wouldn't mind the Trump administration doing something about media content ownership. We no longer get to own movies, music or video games in the name of convenience but that shitty 480P DVD is still yours and will always be yours as long as the actual physical media is not damaged or lost. Why do you hate ownership and consumer friendly products?

This has nothing to do with led bulbs dying. LED bulbs have electrical circuits that regulate current flow. Cheap led bulbs have cheap capacitors. Good quality capacitors have near lifetime lifespan as long as they operate within its temperature limitations.

A more expensive LED bulb with more expensive capacitors will in the long run be far cheaper than incandescent bulbs. Like after half a year you probably just recouped your cost and now are saving money moving forward.

 

Yeah but consumers don't generally look to up spend when it comes to light bulbs, especially with so many cheap Chinese $hit on Amazon and even the cheap options at Wal-Mart and or Home Depot..... A cheap incandescent will out last the cheap LED while more expensive on the electricity bill in long run but cmon.... Is it significant enough to move an electric bill much? Long story short, incandescent lighting isn't a bad choice for consumers.
